Black Activists Criticize Gore for Comparing Climate Change Advocacy to Fight Against Slavery

Al Gore was in Australia Thursday promoting his new video, “An Inconvenient Sequel,” the follow-up to Gore’s 2006 “An Inconvenient Truth.” While speaking to attendees of the EcoCity World Summit in Melbourne, the former vice president compared climate change advocates to those who worked to end slavery, promote civil rights and women’s suffrage, battled apartheid in South Africa, and worked for gay rights. He said those activists had also experienced “ferocious resistance” to their cause.

Does he realize he’s talking about Republicans?

The jig is up Al. When you get personally rich over doomsaying, are hypocritical in your own actions toward the something you tout as a potential catastrophe, and your body language is telegraphing you are a liar, and the scientific evidence does not support you…well expect people to dismiss and ridicule you. Go feed the polar bears with your corpulent carcass if you’re so worried.
