Federal government apologizes to former Guantanamo inmate Omar Khadr

A

The apology, delivered in a terse statement from Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale and Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, followed reports of a controversial $10.5-million settlement to a long-standing lawsuit over violations of Khadr’s charter rights.

Change the laws so that no immigrant can become a citizen. Their children who were born and raised as citizens, upon reaching adulthood, may apply for and be granted citizenship if they meet requirements of employment, education, use of social services, citizenship, etc. But for the parents or anyone not born and raised in-country, no citizenship and no protections of citizenship, ever.

He is a damn war criminal! Why is it Goodale is always on the ass of lawabiding (ie, gun owners) citizens, but a big softy for those who are supposed to be in prison for war crimes? Last time I checked, committing a war crime was supposed to be a serious offense.

    • Because Goodale is a worm.

So are those who elected him in his riding. They should all be shamed publicly – otherwise they’ll continue to elect absolutely worthless human beings into office.

He threw out his damn rights after he threw that fuckn grenade that killed Sgt Speer.

      Islamaphobe!

      • Bla Bla

        It does take practice!

    • Alain

Actually he lost them when he joined the jihadists even prior to throwing the grenade.

If the Liberals believed they were doing the right thing, they wouldn’t have done it on the tail end of the Canada Day weekend, with Parliament not in session and the Prime Minister safely far far away, and they wouldn’t be sending out stooges to deliver terse statements.

Always remember that they don’t believe a word of their own bullshit.

      They’re fucking skunks.

      • Now wait one minute!

Skunks are actually skittish creatures reluctant to spray unless threatened.

        Liberals stink all the time.

          Well, point taken.
          Oon-yelli-man.

I’m surprised that Justin the idiot didn’t do it on Canada.

  • Tooth&Claw

Trudeau has made the value of being a Canadian citizen virtually valueless. He sure appreciates the taxes we pay though.

President Trump is going to thump him bigly for this one.
In the end it won’t be Maxime Bernier dismantling the dairy industry, it will be the President.

  • terrence22

TrueDOPE had sense enough to be out of the country when this PAYOFF and “apology” was made. And, yes, of course, it was ALL Harper’s fault…

They should have let this piece of shit bleed out. As an “enemy combatant” dressed in civilian clothes, hiding among civilians and targeting civilian targets then attacking a uniformed army he, like the rest of his terrorist parasites, broke a host of international law and the Geneva convention. Then, he fought against the coalition forces, among which was the Canadian armed forces, which makes him a traitor. How the government lost this case and then decided to pay him off is a complete miscarriage of justice and only serves to incentivize terrorism. Now let’s see if this communist government allows the American court ruling to go after this money for the widow of his victim.

    • k1962

….and he’s laughing at us along with the rest of his grotesque family.

  • k1962

Well they don’t speak for me. The little shit didn’t get what he deserved. He got exactly what he didn’t deserve.

I agree about there needing to be something done about immigrants becoming citizens (though it never will). I’ve always said there needs to be something along the lines of levels of citizenship for foreign born people, but that full citizenship should only be reserved for those born here.
