Months After Media Mockery, Poll Finds Americans Agree With Mike Pence’s Rules About Women

How out of touch are newsrooms that they thought Mike Pence’s position was Sharia-like, as opposed to what it turns out to be: completely normal?

Back in March, the Washington Post published a story that mentioned Vice President Mike Pence’s 2002 comment that he doesn’t eat alone with any woman other than his wife or imbibe in public without her.

These 15-year-old comments were painted by the media as inexplicable, misogynistic, and horrific.

It helps keep you out of trouble, with the wife and family.
    Smart move.

I avoid being alone and unobserved with any woman other than my wife. My experience is that I can trust myself to keep things light, but I cannot trust women to do the same. I have no idea what circumstance could see me dine alone with any woman other than my wife. Even in business, if a client rep was female and dinner was in the picture, my wife would be invited/present. She proved herself to be among my best assets on many occasions. 😉

Yah, Mike Pence’s opinion about not dining alone with any woman other than his wife is totally going to lead to a Handmaid’s Tale world, for sure and for reals.
