Muslims Lose Their Minds When 26 Different ARABIC Qurans Return to Speakers’ Corner

About a year ago, Jay Smith and Hatun Tash got up on their ladders at Speakers’ Corner to show 26 different Arabic Qur’ans to the world. They didn’t have the time then to go through the 26 Qur’ans, and so they decided to bring the Qurans back to Speakers’ Corner for a similar talk, but this time to go through and show some of the differences.

This is precisely what has to take place to discredit this totalitarian ideology. Keep it up.

Maybe. Maybe the powers that be will just smother the truth with lies and everyone will forget until it’ll be blasphemy not to believe what you’re told to believe – of course on pain of death.

A few years ago, I had raised the issue of how the Koran came to be written and canonized. Mr. Smith needs to take his Korans to a secure academic haven where serious scholars can research the textual differences.

The muslims seem to be OK with the cognitive dissonance of both believing there was only ever one version of the Qur’an and yet also believing that the third Caliph, Uthman, destroyed myriad different versions of the Qur’an to leave only one version, supposedly the exact same version that existed since the start of the universe. See http://answering-islam.org/Green/uthman.htm for more information about the supposed perfect maintenance of the Qur’an.

The muslims will also have a problem with non-muslims touching their holy book and of reading their holy book. This restriction on non-muslims reading the Qur’an is from the Pact of Umar, a peace treaty that muslims believe that is the basis for the non-muslims to be allowed to live peaceably under dhimmitude.

They can believe two contradictory things quite easily.

Holding a koran in your (unclean) left hand will further upset them.

      • Norman_In_New_York

Irrespective of Muslim cognitive dissonance, these issues surrounding composition and canonization should be examined if only to satisfy us rational Western minds.

        • tom_billesley

          rationality is anti-islamic

We have seen how a strict Shari’a state deals with historical artefacts in Bamiyan, Afghanistan and Palmyra, Syria. They are destroyed to remove any proof of civilisations greater and earlier than islam. So it would be with evidence of the evolution of the supposed never changed Qur’an, as well as the history of the Sunnah and Ahadith. I believe that one of the best current evidence is Quranic text from Yemen, the Sana’a manuscript: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sana%27a_manuscript

Early korans had differences, so the third caliph, Uthman, chose one and had it replicated, sent a copy to the major mosques, and ordered that others be burned.

How did he decide which one was the true recitation by Allah? Perhaps he threw them and picked the one that flew best.

I read Uthman chose the one Koran kept by one of Mo’s wives.

I actually remember watching that skit when it first aired. Kids In The Hall was an exception to my largely rigid “no TV” life. I have no idea where I first saw the show, but I went out and bought a 13″ Sony Trinitron television just to watch it. I only tossed that TV out about five years ago. It was almost indestructible. 😉

Because the Koran is horseshit ‘dictated’ by an illiterate rapist sociopath and – and – almost the first thing that happened when said rapist croaked is his toadies went to war with EACH OTHER over whose scribblings of his horseshit were the right one and who will carry forth his word, his sword and his rapist cock. When your an illiterate BY DEFINITION you can’t proofread the transcription. They could have written a fucking couscous menu and Mohamed would sagely nod.

So of course there are a slough of variations. It’s not divine it’s horseshit.

      Great comment.

Divine was a campy, fat transvestite actress. Islam is a big fat load of hooey. Big difference! 😉

Do that often. The only way to eliminate this catbox full of turds called Islam is to expose the turds in the catbox.
