UCLA course blames ‘car culture’ for ‘spatial injustice’

“Students will investigate spatial justice and injustice in the multi-ethnic city through the lens of three thematic technologies,” the syllabus states, listing cars and highways, the Internet, and film and media as factors that contribute to spatial injustice.

I read the syllabus. It has a misspelled word. “Inforgraphics” is not a word. Sorry.

By the time you get to the bottom of the list and they cover “The Racialization of Labor in World of Warcraft”, because imaginary mythical creatures are racist totems….you know this whole project has flown off the rails. Assuming the archetype of ‘rails’ and all that it implies in taking people “to” a place and not some other place, is still acceptable to use…..

Presumably there was no spatial injustice back when feudal lords travelled in horse-drawn carriages and peasants walked.

They were going green, so they get a pass.

So I assume the course does not discuss “Crowdifornia” as a topic.

BTW I think LA county is the most populous county in the US. So the idea that somehow having ‘lots’ of everything is bad would fly in the face of everything the SJW ethos demands.

What a crock of shit. Do people think they are going to get jobs from taking these sorts of courses?

After interviewing teacher candidates for ten years the answer is yes. However, I never hired one. Peace, Aboriginal, and Women’s studies does not equal History or Geography teachables.

Straight White males, this is just another justification of why they are entitled to take your money and your property and if you do not comply, your life.

    Maybe they meant “spazz injustice”?

One comedian once compared California to a box of cereal, full of flakes, nuts and fruit.

What about the “spatial injustice” that occurs when lefty snowflakes demand their entitlement to take up more emotional space than their fair, one-seven-billionth share of the emotional space in the world? They want their subjective feelings to be taken more seriously than the experiences of others around them. Fugm. All the sophisticated-sounding BS of postmodernist-inspired ideologies doesn’t change the fact that some self-indulgent, entitled, people are full of crap when they demand more attention and redress than they are willing to grant to the rest of humanity.
Friggin’ snowflakes. They are the ones who should commit suicide. Wastes of skin.
