Shocka! Wynne wildly unpopular inside and outside Ontario: Poll

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne has the highest disapproval rating of any provincial premier in the country, a Mainstreet Research/Postmedia polls finds.

The embattled Wynne has the unfortunate distinction of being the most unpopular premier in their own province, with only 19% of Ontarians expressing approval, and a full 70% unhappy with the job she’s doing.

Her approval rating is still too high.

In the old days she would have been tarred and feathered.

    • Pity we forgot the old ways.

      • Not Wynne. She still wears horn-rim glasses — stylish in the ’50’s. And she still follows Marxism — stylish in the late 1800’s.

The teacher in her just ignores how shitty she is.

    • She knows, she’s just a twisted sociopath deviant and doesn’t care.

It’s actually called Toxic Narcissism. She’s a textbook case.

Ontario could have the greatest Conservative Party Government in Canada were it not for that Leftist Mish mash conglomeration known as Toronto. Ontario ought to drop Toronto and let them form another province. TORONTO would be starving and begging to come back in a year.

I have come to actually hate the place. I can put it aside the the three to five hours it takes us to do our business, but by the time we hit the 400 northbound, I’m just about ready to punch somebody’s lights out. Toronto does not bring out the best in me. Come to think of it, neither did Qatar. Funny, that.

Sorry Laird, Bill killed any vestiges of conservatism a long, long time ago.

19% approval huh? Well let’s call that a silver lining; 28% of the employment workforce in Ontario is public sector, so even some of them aren’t happy–probably those on the lower end of the pay scale whose mortgage-like energy bills aren’t offset by their promised raises.

    • Justin St.Denis

Wrong. It is those very civil servants – the clerks, admin assistants, secretaries etc. – who are the most grossly overpaid for the work they do. That class of government employee almost always votes for the status quo. I believe OPS “support staff” earn approximately 70% more than their private sector equivalents. Seriously. IOW, a clerk making $30K in a real estate office should know that clerks in the Ministry of Housing earn at least $48K. Seriously.

OTOH, a mining engineer working for the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines earns significantly LESS than a mining engineer employed by an active mining company. Fact.

You learn a lot from working in close association with headhunting firms for as long as I did.

“Clerk” “secretaries” ??? How quaint. You are showing your age, aren’t you?

          Off with your nonsense. Pffft.

I’m still holding out hope for landing a stint at the new station.
        It’s a fly-in.
Fourteen days in for eleven hours a day and seven days out at home.
Nobody has asked me but I have made it pretty clear that while I love it where I am, a heartbeat says seventeen weeks at home every year is a pretty sweet deal.
There’s a small rumour that one day the whole operation will be fly-in.
Fuck the town, too much overhead.
        Not too sure about that.
They’re doing upgrades on the streets and stuff but that may be just about handing it over to the new landlords in decent shape.
That Chinese curse, may you live in interesting times, is my life right now.

We had the liaison guy come in last month and he basically said everyone who was born here hates your guts.
No offense, that is just the way it is.
Well, what the fuck did I have to do with it?
I just applied for a job and they let me in.
        Ten months ago.
        It’s weird, too.
Everyone who can get the fuck out is getting the fuck out.
Something is rumbling up here and I don’t know how to define it, yet.
        I’ll take a gander, though.
The credit union up here does not have an ATM.
The Rec Centre is under an eighteen month renovation.
        (Smokescreen.)
The Co-op was supposed to have moved two years ago.
I see the writing on the wall and no-one else does.

And the NDP will be the beneficiaries. OUt of the frying pan and into the fire for the province of ontario.

With numbers like that, she should be yesterday’s news. Yet they keep voting her back in.

  • People will still vote for her.

I’m just wondering when they are going to McGuinty her.

      • I have no idea.

      • Justin St.Denis

Never work for the a government ministry, Dance. You work in a field in which the private sector actually lays significantly better than the public sector. See my comment above (ignore ageist asshat respondent.) 😉
