Something is fishy about USS Fitzgerald story we are getting from the media

Under no circumstances should a US Navy vessel possibly be damaged by a container ship at sea. Multiple systems exist to prevent this. Even CNN is noticing how little we know about the catastrophe that took the lives of seven sailors and almost caused a powerful warship to founder.

The USS Fitzgerald, an anti-ballistic missile destroyer that was part of the USS Ronald Reagan carrier strike group, will no longer be ready to defend the carrier and other ships from missile attacks launched from North Korea, should push come to shove in the current confrontation with the rogue regime on the threshold of the capability to attack New York, Los Angeles, and our power grid with nuclear missiles. This is an incident that could affect the outcome of a nuclear confrontation of historic moment.

LGBTQ petition demands permanent ‘rainbow crosswalks’ in cities across the country

Activists are urging local lawmakers to create the crosswalks through the use of petitions. Currently, one of the cities targeted is Chicago. A petition is now circulating there that has garnered more than 4,000 signatures. According to the petition’s text, “Some cities, like San Francisco, have made LGBTQ people feel more at home by creating permanent rainbow crosswalks to honor the LGBTQ community. … This is one small thing that could be done to signal to one of the most marginalized communities in the country that we are here for them, we see them, and we support them.”

Emergency workers bracing for Canada 150 bash in Ottawa

Be alert but not alarmed, police are urging Canadians who will congregate under the Peace Tower next month for Canada 150 celebrations — a massive public gathering for which intelligence agencies and emergency teams have spent months preparing.

Experts are well aware of what is at stake on July 1, especially in the wake of the deadly shootings that erupted on Parliament Hill in 2014.

Facebook Suspends Priest After Post About Islamic Jihad

Facebook may be failing to keep up with terrorists who use the social media platform to incite, enlist, and organize would-be killers, but it’s Johnny-on-the-spot when it comes to Catholic priests who share politically incorrect thoughts about Islam.

Canada’s relationship with Coca-Cola on its 150th

One of the best stories heard about Coca-Cola’s relationship to Canada is when then company president Robert Woodruff visited the country in the middle of a bitter 1930s winter – in Moose Jaw, Sask., no less.

And what did he see? A group of hearty Canucks chugging back bottles of ice-cold Coke.

Migrants Still Pouring Into Europe, Only Now They Are Mainly Coming From Africa

The flow of migrants from Libya to Turkey has hit unprecedented rates even as immigration officials have dramatically reduced the flow from Turkey into Greece, the head of the EU’s border agency told AFP.

BLM’s bullying tactics solve nothing

Reason is progressively being displaced by feelings, usually hurt or otherwise aggrieved ones.

Such was the case this week when Black Lives Matter (BLM) supporters appeared before the Toronto Police Services board advocating an end to the city’s School Resource Officer (SRO) program, which places 36 police officers in 75 public and Catholic schools.

The Source Of Leftist Intolerance

When I am come face-to-face with injustice and falsehood, my blood rises. It just happened with a post I found on Facebook (referring to yesterday’s shooting attack in the ball park):

“Unfortunately the right is already generalizing the blame to left-wing hate and pattern of hostility. Given the level of hatred and hostility the right has routinely expressed toward the left (or anyone who disagrees with them), this is outrageous.”

This is what psychologists call a projection, defined as the unconscious transfer of one’s own desires or emotions to another person.

What ISIS Really Wants

The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse. Here’s what that means for its strategy—and for how to stop it.

Editorial: Beer tax hikes driving us all to drink

Beer taxes are up – in Alberta WAY up. And if the federal Liberals get their way, beer taxes will keep going up automatically, year after year, until some future government has the guts to put an end to the annual increases.

Beer taxes will go up till the market says enough, and alternate sources of supply emerge.

Politicians love to imagine they are all powerful.

For brewing, as for education, the answer will be to do it at home.

      • Bataviawillem

I have been doing that for more than 10 years.

    • canminuteman

I used to make my own. I don’t drink enough anymore to justify the time and effort. But it’s easier than ever to be a home brewer for those so inclined. People will brew at home and sell to their neighbours.

I know a guy who told me he put himself through college selling home brew. He turned his whole apartment into a brewery. When the price reaches a certain point, this is exactly what will happen.

What’s the juiciest theory out there about the destroyer/freighter collision? Maybe we can start one…

    • canminuteman

A woman at the helm of the destroyer?

    • ontario john

I blame Russian spies. Trump gave them the route of the destroyer.

    • tom_billesley

      North Korean hackers

    • Brett_McS

The Captain’s two children were given the helm? (Really happened on a Russian airliner that consequently plowed into the ground).

  • ontario john

I hope everyone enjoyed the non stop Trump is Hitler shows on the CBC last night. But everyone should be excited that Ontario is gearing up for the homosexual sex celebrations this month. The media is already excited about it. I can’t wait to see what pretty beads feminist Trudeau will be wearing this year at the parade.

    Mahometans vs. Travellers.
Two “persecuted” minorities involved in violence. Mahometans claim racist attacks on them and their mosque. However, as nobody with a recognized majority privilege is involved, ….”officers spoke to all parties involved to diffuse [sic] the situation. No arrests were made.”

Public websites that track commercial shipping in realtime note clearly that the ACX Crystal collided with the Fitzgerald at maximum speed, more than 19.2 knots, which, when loaded is the highest achievable speed of the cargo ship. This in and of itself is odd because cargo ships don’t typically run flat out. Maybe they were making up time and maybe the Fitzgerald had powered down all their navigation radars. Who knows? A few years ago an Israeli Saar frigate was hit by a Chinese C-801/2 cruise missile fired by Hezbollah while its search radars were offline. These things happen. Collusion? Could be. In any case, there’s more to this than meets the eye.

    • Minicapt

At the end of the article is a statement that the ship did not have its running lights on, and that a ship transponder had been turn off.

      Cheers

USS Fitzgerald has Aegis defense system..nothing in air ,water gets by it
    ..turned off?
    many layers failed

  • Bla Bla

Looks my hypothesis of a ramvan type attack on the USS Fitzgerald might be right…. Time well tell.
