Canada’s spy agency expects cyberattacks during 2019 federal election

The Communications Security Establishment, known as Canada’s electronic spy agency, is advising Ottawa on how to protect three general targets that could be attacked in an attempt to influence the 2019 federal election.

Conditioning.

Good. The fear of the left and their inevitable failure is sweet.

Here’s an idea: use fucking paper.

Great poster, and sadly too true. I never thought I’d see a PM with an IQ = to his shoe size.

Poor Justin . He’s upset at Trump’s travel ban to keep out terrorists and his exit from the Global Warming scam to leave the Paris climate Accord.
He expected crooked Hillary to win but now he’s stunned that Trump won’t help get him elected in 2019 to flood Canada even more with unemployable homophobic muslim refugees that hate us .

Worse than that …..Cpt. Trudeau would order the crew to drill holes in the hull and open all the Port windows on the other side to let the water run out .

The clueless puppet void of thought that is from Canada
    is on the left .

And given Justin’s youth, our country’s Titanic will hit the same iceberg several times.

      • Clausewitz

Justin does not have “Youth”, just immaturity.

Well we know who’s side the CBC will be on.

A quote from the article – “The nature of the activity runs the gamut, the report says, including efforts to suppress voter turnout, attempts to discredit or blackmail parties and candidates and an overall campaign of disinformation.”

So they are scared that someone will use “cyber attacks” to do what the CBC does in full light of day and financed with my tax dollars?

Good lord can they not for once not mimic the Americans and come up with something original? Yes, it is preparing the groundwork in case the Liberals lose in order to claim that they only lost due to the Russians. I doubt they can even produce a different boogyman to blame.

  • robins111

I think I smell a liberal thrashing in the future. Their polling probably shows it too. But lay the ground work for a 4 year whine-a-thon with somebody to blame. I kinda think Justy and Butts figured Reptillary was going to staff and fund another election like Obama did.

I would be amazed if there isn’t hacking during thee election. Simple cost effective way to avoid it is to carry on with everything done by hand on paper with no vote counts done by computer or transmitted over the internet until the final count is done. For those that wish to vote electronically suck it up and take a couple of hours out of your busy life to participate in something that will have greater consequences for your life than going to the local coffee bistro for a double latte soy espresso mocha could ever have.

    • Alain

Why would you even need hacking, since during the last election people in my riding who had not a single one of the required documents to vote were allowed to vote on orders from Elections Canada.

      • barryjr

Good point just bring in all the bums as often as you can, no way to verify if they’ve voted already or not.

  • DMB

Is Justin planning to get Chinese hackers to rig Canada’s election in his favour? Having said that voting should be conducted on paper ballets only. Electronic or on-line voting should be banned.

    • Alain

So far we don’t have electronic or on-line voting although that is something much desired by the Liberals and NDP.
