Less than an hour after the shooting, certain things about the gunman were already known.

He was ‘middle-aged and white’.

Europe Is Committing Suicide

Swedish intelligence deemed him too dangerous to stay in Sweden, so the immigration authorities sought to have him deported to Syria. They did not succeed: the law does not permit his deportation to Syria, as he risks being arrested or executed there. Instead, he was released and is freely walking around in Malmö.

B.C. capital’s new plan for dealing with homelessness: Have a homeless person live with you

“What if there was a way to connect people living in vehicles, in motel rooms, on couches, with seniors living in large houses all alone, with retirees with an extra bedroom, or even with families with large houses and extra rooms?” wrote Victoria mayor Lisa Helps in a post to her official website.

Can Black Lives Matter be sued? Activist’s attorney says no

On the other hand…

Vandal Calls for Beheading of Berkeley College Republicans

At the University of California at Berkeley, it’s common to see fliers, stickers, and advertisements for various political events and social gatherings. Over the past few months, however, stickers have started appearing around campus with a less-than-festive purpose: they’re calling for members of the college Republican group to be beheaded or lynched.

The art of Defendo, or how to fight like a Canadian: ‘Destroy them. Don’t feel sorry for them’

Robbie Cressman is an amateur historian and the keeper of the Underwood legend. It is a mostly forgotten story about a great Canadian innovator whose homegrown creations, at root, involved keeping the good guys — soldiers, cops, commandoes, spies, citizens and seniors — safe while saving democracy. Cressman’s interest in Underwood has a professional application. The 48-year-old is an elite hand-to-hand combat instructor, working with law enforcement and military personnel around the globe. Part of his mission has been to popularize the Underwood name, by telling Bill’s story to the “deadly serious” people he works with, while the other part involves teaching those same people how to fight like a Canadian, as Underwood once did.

    rainbow crosswalk
There was no black stripe in the racist rainbow. There are two intersectional black stripes now.

One of the Toronto Star’s bag over the head opinion writers, reminds us today that Wonder Woman is not a defender of women’s rights. She rants in true Toronto Star style, that the actress represents evil Israel that murders innocent muslim women and children in Gaza. And Hamas does nothing wrong. And the Star is excited that Little Justin is going to come across with legislation and an apology on behalf of all Canadians, regarding the past treatment of homosexual perverts. Yes, please remember, celebrating Canada’s birthday means apologizing to every whiny special interest group in the nation.

Interesting point by the British astrophysicist John Gribbin: If an asteroid strike or other catastrophic event destroyed technological civilisation, leaving only a remnant population of humans, we would never recover but be doomed to remain in a primitive state for the rest of time. The reason is that we have already used up the readily available supplies of resources (eg surface coal and oil) that are required to power a technological civilisation. We now rely on advanced technology to get at them. But with that advanced technology gone we can’t get at the resources we need to re-create that technology…

We are essentially walking a tightrope without a net.

Without coal and oil there’s be no means to make solar panels and wind turbines. Oh well, back to the 7th century. But that’s where islam is taking us without the asteroid isn’t it?

Our little prince is looking at taxing internet and networks. Because here in Sunny Ways Canada we must look constantly for things to tax.

    • Tooth&Claw

He’s already collecting tax via indirect means. To use the internet requires electricity.

The problem with Sanders is that he’s reached the cutesy, pre-senile, harmless, doting grandpa stage. People forget too easily he’s still a marxist.

A number of the homeless are either drug dependent or have mental health issues. Not exactly what I want roaming freely in my home.
