Teen ‘abducted from Sydney home, raped and forced into Islamic wedding’

A teenager was allegedly abducted through the bedroom window of her Sydney home, raped and forced into an Islamic wedding ceremony by a 31-year-old man who had previously been rejected by her parents for an arranged marriage.

In a horrific ordeal lasting almost 19 hours, police allege the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, took the 18-year-old from her Bankstown home in Sydney’s west in the early hours of Monday morning before he allegedly sexually and indecently assaulted her, forced her to marry him and then drove her almost 400 kilometres to Gundagai in the state’s south west.

It is believed the man was infatuated with the teenager, whose name has been suppressed, and his prior advances had been knocked back after he asked her parents for her hand in marriage.

Somebody should do a sit-com — Love Jihadist Style. Imagine all the wacky adventures the diverse cast could get into.

The victim is not his first cousin?
    How unislamic is that?
Guess he is being fairly logical – Aussie permanent foothold first with kidnapped, raped, and married Aussie wife then see to acquiring his tribal obligation wives later.

Another victory for western feminism. Perhaps the Toronto Star can send someone to take wedding pictures for their Life section.

What the hell is this crap? A 31 year old man cannot be named for “legal reasons”.

“legal rea$on$” = expensive defense lawyer familiar with how the system really works.

      • Sharkibark

Expensive defense lawyer no doubt being paid for by the taxes of the same family his client victimized.

One of our quaint legal traditions was making the crown disclose the names of the people they had charged. Publishing the name of the charged exists for the protection of those who had been. The alternative is people disappearing in the night and nobody knowing about it. Not publishing the names of people who have been charged “for their protection” is a 180 degree turn from why we forced the crown to divulge the ID of people they arrested in the first place.

Just a diverse wedding tradition for the mosaic. It makes us so enriched and vibrant to have these different traditions!

This creeper’s suicide threat could be translated to:

“If I can’t have you as a wife, I’m gonna make you a sex slave! I even picked out this ball gag!”

  • Watchman

    Two questions:
    Who performed the marriage?
    – Why are they not also being charged as an accomplice to kidnapping?
