North Korea releases jailed US student Otto Warmbier said to be in a coma

Mr Warmbier was sentenced last year to 15 years in jail for trying to steal a propaganda sign from a hotel.

Mr Tillerson said in a statement said: “At the direction of Donald Trump, the Department of State has secured the release of Otto Warmbier from North Korea”.

Mr Warmbier, a student from the University of Virgina, went with his tour group to North Korea in January 2016.

What mental case would ever go there?

Like sticking your head in an alligator’s mouth.

    • It does seem foolish.

He’s been in a coma for a year after getting botulism, so his parents won’t be getting back the son they had.

If they were foolish enough to bank-roll his trip to N. Korea…then they’re kind of on the hook for putting him in harm’s way in the first place.

And to think there are people who are exceptional enough to be absolutely convinced North Korea is heaven on earth…

In North Korea what’s the difference between a state sponsored botulism induced coma and a state sponsored beating induced coma?

About 3 feet of rubber hose.

The KGB reportedly liked to use rubber hoses in their interrogations…
