Could an EMP attack take down Canada?

Canada is vulnerable to a crippling attack and is doing nothing to prepare for it.

That’s what I learned while researching my new book on electromagnetic pulse.

After speaking with top level national security sources in the United States the other year, I began studying this little known phenomenon that was classified until not long ago.

Bring it on. Trudope’s Canada sucks. It needs the reset button hit. The massive civil unrest that would follow an EMP attack would be just the ticket.

    • Raymond Hietapakka

…”unrest”? …unmitigated disaster….only 10% of us would still be around after one year…

      • WalterBannon

Good, 90 percent of Canadians are leftists, so their loss would be beneficial.

The 10 percent who survive would be the ones with critical thinking skills, and that means only the real conservatives.

        • Exile1981

Or the rich liberals who have guards and bunkers.

          • WalterBannon

Once the grocery stores stop working, you have to have skills to eat

liberals and their guards would starve in their bunkers

        • Maggat

The ten percent would those that are armed.

    • If you want Trudeau to act, tell him that an EMP will destroy his hair dryer. He’ll hustle then.

      • WalterBannon

He would be puzzled why a european MP would want to destroy his hair dryer

        • You, sir, have won the Internet today.

        • A Hamilton Guy

          That is the best yet!

  • “Could an EMP attack take down Canada?”

A butterfly, armed with pillow feathers, could take down Canada.

    • mobuyus

That would be “take down liberal Canada”.

My vacuum tube operated amplifiers should withstand any HEMP burst. Allowing me to continue to annoy my snowflake auto-tuned neighbours.

    • WalterBannon

turn off all RT and computer equipment during nuclear strike, no need for mil spec shielding or primitive vacuum tubes, solid state electronics do fine if proper precautions taken.

      • So if someone nukes me I should remember to turn off my computer?

        • WalterBannon

          yes

and if you ever hear the code dazzle dazzle dazzle broadcast on a military band be aware that means a “friendly” incoming nuclear strike is coming your way

        • Clink9

And hide under your school desk.

I am more concerned about the “diversity” bomb that is being planted throughout Canada.

    • Etobicoke_Gladiator

Newsflash: It has already exploded in the GTA, Montreal, et. al.

  • Jay Harper

It would take several, due to the nation’s size, but since the bulk of the population is in Ontario and Quebec, not too many. The real question would be, would the rest of the country notice?

  • robins111

Not a hell of a lot we could do about protecting ourselves from an episode like this.

The reality is, the impact would be a 1,000 times greater in the urban areas than in the rural, and it’s unlikely that the golden hoard scenario would happen to the rural areas, as the vast majority of automobiles would be toast.

I kinda expect that the urban areas will get their dose of ‘diversity’ good and hard if it happened though

    • RottyLover

Please join me in my campaign to change the word to dieversity. If the left can coop words and symbols, so can we. Rub their noses in their precious dieversity.

      • robins111

        Works for me.

    • Exile1981

If it happened in January it would clean out the diversity by spring.

  • Alain

No never in Canada, because all our green energy will come to the rescue.

    • WalterBannon

the only thing our “green energy” will do is put govt subsidies in the pockets of liberal cronies, raise the costs of electricity, and drive manufacturing to other jurisdictions

      • Alain

So in other words we have been lied to and are being scammed, eh?

  • Millie_Woods

Is it really necessary to worry us about this? We’re not prepared for nuclear war or an asteroid either. In fact the only thing the government is preparing for is more refugees.

  • Norman_In_New_York

An EMP attack can take down any electrical grid system unprotected by firewall software. That is why it hasn’t happened yet. Every attacker is vulnerable to retaliation.

  • Jaedo Drax

It’s so classified that it showed up in a Bond movie in 1985. Or was discussed as the compton effect. Or was brought up repeatedly since the demonstration of what it could do in 1958, with atmospheric testing.

    Ok….. Going to Cabela’s,
