Fearful That His Legacy Will Come Undone, Former President Opens Fool Mouth

Somebody should tell him that he used to be important:

Barack Obama has accused Donald Trump of “rejecting the future” by pulling out of the Paris climate deal.

The former U.S. President said those nations that remained signed up to the accord would “reap the benefits in jobs and industries created.”

But he added: “This Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future.”

Mr. Obama’s administration played a key role in negotiating the deal.

Obama? Who dat? My memory isn’t what it used to be.

    This is telling (via Instapundit):

“Germany’s powerful car industry said Europe would need to reassess its environmental standards to remain competitive after the United States said it would withdraw from the Paris climate pact.”

One would think that it would be prudent for Obama not to call attention to himself. He has lived in a glass house ever since he first took the oath of office.

“Key role in negotiating”…mighty big words for a mighty big loser. Perhaps we should all become privy to both his pre and post elections Chicago Style “negotiations hmmm?

By those standards, Monica Lewinski played a ‘key role in negotiating’ during her internship with Bill Clinton.

“The former U.S. President said those nations that remained signed up to the accord would ‘reap the benefits in jobs and industries created.’”

Had the US stayed in, the very same list of countries who positively benefit would remain unchanged. The US was never going to be on the list, unless you think that warm fuzzy feelings for having subsidised all ‘underdeveloped’ nations around the world at the cost of US productivity and jobs to be a benefit.

Under the agreement, China, India and Russia would be the biggest winners, essentially being able to dump as much Carbon Dioxide into atmosphere as they like without restriction until 2050, and after then their compliance will be based on their emissions in that year. A huge incentive to ramp up emissions enormously until then.

Reap the benefits in jobs and industries created like in Ontario?
