European Officials Commandeer Private Property to House Migrants

Faced with an orchestrated influx of millions of migrants from Africa and the Middle East, German officials have started commandeering private property to house the tsunami of new arrivals. Italian property owners have also been forced, literally kicking and screaming, to house migrants against their will. Plans to put resistors in jail are reportedly being considered. And in Sweden, where an extreme housing shortage in Stockholm has been made even more acute by the arrival of hundreds of thousands of migrants in recent years, authorities are using tax money to outbid Swedes in the intensifying competition for living space. Other fundamental freedoms are also being attacked under the guise of dealing with the self-inflicted “refugee crisis.”

And it is going to get worse.

  • Yes, it looks like the worst is yet to come. European governments are going to go all out in their policy of population replacement. They will use force, they will smother all voices raised in objection, they will pay no respect to the rights of their citizens. Seeing that right wing parties were not very successful in the recent elections, they believe they now can and should go full steam in their pro-migrant revolution.

The people must support it, or they would have done something about it by now. There must be something in the water.

This was no different than the Canadian government paying 50% over the going rate in rents to house Somali “refugees” (much in the Dixon Road area of Toronto) in the 90’s to drive out the Canadians.

The occupancy rate of residential property in Manhattan in the price range $10 million and above, is under 40%. This is because the market has become a safety deposit box that foreigners use to park cash. They buy the properties but never use them or rent them. I think that either taking them to house the hundreds of thousands of ‘immigrants’ flooding into NYC or, taxing the owners 100% of the value to build cheap dense housing off in the outer boroughs away from the rich people would be a wonderful solution to a thorny problem.

European cities are by and large very expensive to live in. Even for ‘immigrants’ 100% on the dole. In many of them, just like New York, there are only 3 classes of people living in them now: the wealthy, the poor and city workers. I would love to see the city governments simply snatch up all the unoccupied high end properties and stuff the ‘refugees’ there for free. And if that isn’t sufficient THEN start kicking people into the street like a good old pogrom Europe is famous for.

But the fifth columnist invading hordes need somewhere to live before they have sufficient numbers to impose their sharia “laws” on us all with the support of our pandering politicians bought off with Middle Eastern petro dollars.

Like I keep saying, some societies make atrocious decisions intentionally even unto extinction. We scratch our heads at the people of Easter Island who seemingly cut down every tree there so they could no longer fish, build homes or do much of anything except raise those giant stone heads until they resorted to cannibalism. Maybe that’s what we’re watching in the west – Easter Islandism. A weird glitch in the societal brain that intentionally makes nothing but bad decisions until it’s a smoking hole in the ground. Somehow we’re, a society able to feel comfortable with ‘us vs them’ thinking when we look at urban implosion in Detroit and St Louis but those are the same thing as Easter Islandism. For decade upon decade they make the worst possible decisions over and over and over and over knowing full well the outcome of the last bad idea. But when it comes to “us” proper, we effete elite rich urban liberals, making the same insanely bad choices isn’t viewed as something that’s our problem – no no – that’s some exogenous event like the explosion of the Santorini volcano. Meanwhile we stomp on the gas and head straight for the guardrails and over the cliff.
