Feminist researcher invents ‘intersectional quantum physics’ to fight ‘oppression’ of Newton

A researcher in culture and gender studies at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, Stark also holds an appointment in women’s and gender studies at the University of Arizona through its Institute for LGBT Studies.

She is a member of the Somatechnics Research Network, hosted by UA, whose scholars “reflect on the mutual inextricability of embodiment and technology.”

As I often ask, what is beyond batshit crazy?

    • Reader

      Governments funding batshit crazy.

    Queering science.

The value of pussey slicing studies …….

Let her build a plane according to her physics, load it up with feminists, and send it off on it’s maiden voyage.

    (Is “maiden” allowed?)

    • Minicapt

“A maiden over is one in which no runs are scored. Leg byes and byes scored in the over are not counted against the bowler in a maiden over. A wicket maiden is one in which no runs are scored and a wicket is taken: double and triple wicket maidens have also been recorded. Bowling a Maiden over in ODI and T20 form of cricket is very important and difficult.”

    Hillary lost..

Whatever you do, don’t let nasty, inconvenient things likes facts and reality get in the way of a feminist “interpretation” of science.

    • FactsWillOut

      Tell that to Denyse.

    • Clausewitz

Who knew that truth was oppressive?

  • FactsWillOut

    Ah, women and science.

  • Laugh and satirize if you will, this is the very heart of the darkness that is enveloping our civilization. The Absurd has become the ideal and the practical and provable has become anathema. They have are having their way with the nation-state, sexuality and now physics. Unless we learn how to get back to reality, we are doomed.

This is what strikes me also. There will always be pseudo intellectual professors who make a living writing postmodern drivel and look down their nose at the plebs who “just don’t get it” but the fact this barely coherent word salad gets published and the author is not called out by every Physics Department and professor in the country and laughed off campus is a major part of the problem.

    • Frau Katze

It sounds like a hoax. But I don’t know if gender studies people could come up with a hoax.

    • Marius K

That brief tryst with science was a historical anomaly, anyway. Now, back to regular irrational believes!

      • Clausewitz

The new Dark Ages will be a Blast. Literally.

    • Will Quest

Mock these female sorceress until they cry……

  • Isn’t the use of gravity cultural appropriation?

    • Editor

Not sure about cultural appropriation but it sure needs to be “decolonized”, whatever that means . . .

I still get a kick out of watching this one . . .

That is unbelievable! Although I’m having trouble mustering any sympathy for the professors and administrators being berated. In fact I’m enjoying a fair bit of schadenfreude right now. They have taught and are now enabling this behavior. I’m sure there are numerous university code of conduct rules and even civil if not criminal statutes being broken here. They chose not to call the students on their actions. Never mind the Cops. I hope I live to see the day when university administrators put their big boy pants back on and remind the students they signed a commercial contract; here’s the curriculum, you like it you pay your money and politely attend. You don’t like or approve of the curriculum, get the fuck off campus. Nobody is forcing you come here. It seems so simple to me. You don’t go to the Toyota dealership and scream until they sell you a Ford.

          • Slickfoot

Yup, and the same rule for immigrants.

        • Slickfoot

Loved the “we are adults”… LOL.

combining intersectionality and quantum physics” to better understand “marginalized people” and to create “safer spaces” for them

Well, f. me pink. And that’s a researcher? Of what, apart from made-up non-sciences?
While she is at it, she might also look into eliminating the awful binary from magnetics. Having a positive pole and a negative pole is exclusionary of other possible poles like, for example, cis-poles and trans-poles.
Also, the Earth should, in addition to the brutally binary North and South Pole, have other Poles around the Equator, and generally one at every degree of longitude and latitude.
If you draw the Venn diagram of intersectionality and bottomless stupidity, you will find that one circle will suffice, since the two things are one and the same (you can call it ‘inextricability’ if you wish).

    • Ed

Poles are phallic, you insensitive bastard

    • Clausewitz

To think that all that trouble I had in High School adjusting from Newtonian Physics to Quantum physics wasn’t about the science of probability, but my failure to grasp the stupidity of Social Justice bull shit. Live and Learn.

  • Hard Little Machine

Just laugh at these fucktards and give them the back of your hand

  • The Deplorable Rosenmops

Is this real? Surely it is a joke?

    • Marius K

Only today. The future is full of crazy people.

  • Denis

as I have said before, fancy words to cover up a total lack of substance and reality.

  • andycanuck

If gender studies has come so far, it is because it rests on the shoulders of gia…
    Never mind.

    • Marius K

Never heard about giana with shoulders.

  • Killer Marmot

    Meh, nothing new.

In 1986, Sandra Harding described Principia Mathematica as a rape manual for the way it forced nature to reveal her inner-most secrets to Newton’s, um, probing mind. A real bodice ripper, apparently.

  • Marius K

“Quantum Stupidity is the technical term for the mental condition of people who apparently hold the belief that using word “quantum” as an adjective in any sentence somehow makes the idea that the sentence is expressing sound more intelligent in some way.”

  • See, people like her are the reason why some girls don’t pursue STEM degrees. Imagine having a batsh– professor like that.

    • Clausewitz

I’ve met a few at the Faculty lounge. They’re usually the worst drunks at the establishment.

      • It’s all coming together. The craziness, the drunkenness …

  • Frances

Let’s put it this way, I wouldn’t trust any infrastructure built by this person and/or associates posing as engineers, technicians, or even equipment operators.
