Justin Trudeau demands apology from Pope Francis

Justin Trudeau says he told Pope Francis it’s important for all Canadians to move forward with reconciliation, and that the pontiff could help by issuing an apology for the role the Catholic Church played in residential schools.

Since he’s recited the Shahada, he has renounced being a Catholic in favour of Islam anyways.

Are you talking about Junior, or Pope Evita? Or both?

      • The Deplorable Rosenmops

        Maybe both.

        • LairdKintyre

          Definitely both

    • Which is a heresy according to Surah 5:25/75.

  • The Deplorable Rosenmops

Oh FFS. Sorry we taught you how to read and write in English.

Do I get an apology from someone because my Scotch Gaelic ancestors were taught English causing Gaelic to almost died out?

    • Watchman

You need compensation for the damage caused to your genes by being conversant only in English and unable to speak Gaelic as your only language.

      • The Deplorable Rosenmops

Damned right! This is why Scotch people drink so much! It was those Damned English in 1745.

        • Watchman

Take a stand, and ignore anything you hear or read in English and only write and speak in Gaelic from now on. Beidh sin a thaispeáint ar an mBéarla atá ar fearr!

  • robins111

Frank should tell him to fuck off.

    • felis gracilis

If only! However, he will probably do his own grovelling and virtue signalling followed by a couple of smiling selfies with Junior.

      Fake News:
Pope Francis: “Justin, have you ever considered converting from your current religious affiliation back to my religion of faith? I understand that you have been praying in mosques, amongst muslims, and I fear you have recited the muslim Shahada, even inadvertently, which commits you to the worship of Allah, not God.

Justin, can you put your faith with my faith and together today we can offer praise on the highest to a man who I’ve ordered a swift investigation into whether we can name as a saint in the near future? Will you praise this man who I have admired for years and have brought his holy influence into my earthly role as Shepherd of the Catholic Church? Yes? Then let us pray to God in the memory of this most holy man, blessed Karl Marx.” /sarc

Yeah, the Catholic Church should never have attempted to house, feed, clothe and educate native Indians and should have ensured that there would never be any attempt to help them assimilate into the dominant successful white culture. /sarc

There are good Catholics alive who worked hard to try to help native children who now are essentially being told they were monsters because they tried to ethically help them and not leave them uneducated.

    • canminuteman

It was also Christian missionaries who invented written versions of their own languages, since they never figured that out for themselves.

    • mobuyus

Just 30 years ago half the population of earth lived in extreme poverty today it is only 21% thanks to devious Judeo Christian charity. In the 1990’s the AFN in Ottawa was cutting $5000 cheques to any old Indian off the street who would come down to their HQ at1 Nicholas st. and sign their name on a sheet of paper claiming to have been abused by priests, I knew a few braves that went for the easy cash though they had never been molested in their lives and their names are numbers for the “Narrative.”

      • Watchman

Everywhere in the world there were churches trying to give christian charity and help the locals integrate with the dominant ruling culture. Under assimilation the local native culture was expected to die out, and I’m sure that many christians wanted natives to be ‘saved’ by becoming good christians and adopt good christian values and habits. These often conflicted with the natives habits and in many cases this conflict was deemed fixable by beatings of the child.

Only now, in this world of multiculturalism is this assimilation policy deemed to be a genocide by the Progressives. In the Progressives’ world the natives are permanent victims, since despite the original good intentions these natives are now forever victims and require compensation and organisations founded to represent them and educate them in their victimhood and thus explain away their poor integration.

        • mobuyus

Thank God we have well compensated liberals to educate them and gently guide them in their perpetual victimhood.

    • favill

It was and still is a backward lifestyle. Note that prior to “evil” white man showing up on their shores, they used flint for their weapons, did not have the wheel and had no herds. Essentially, they were Stone Age people.

      • Clausewitz

They also had slavery, constant warfare, and death by 30. Given their attitude, was it really worth the effort?

  • richard

“Demands,” Bambi demands? It was more like, “Pretty please.”

  • felis gracilis

I would a like an apology and a compensation package for the burnings at the stake inflicted by the Catholic Church on my Anabaptist ancestors in Belgium in the 16th Century. I think they would probably have preferred residential schools!

  • Waffle

What did Junior bring as an offering?

    • mobuyus

Probably poached eagle feathers from the 50 or so eagles that indian poachers had butchered on Vancouver island to sell to white liberals at a thousand bucks a pop. Either that or his pledge to export abortion for the children in Africa.

    • LairdKintyre

      Probably a halal goat

  • Dana Garcia

Look out, it’s a pillow fight between two lefties — zzzzzzz.

  • mobuyus

They will lick each others feet each not knowing who the true muslim is.

  • Uncommunist

    What a hypocrites ! Canada’s PM …a Misandrist.
‘Missing, murdered indigenous women inquiry won’t expand mandate to include boys and men – who are murdered 3 times more often aboriginal women.

    • mobuyus

      Ssshh… don’t upset the “narrative”

    • Clausewitz
    • LairdKintyre

Exactly. Despite what Progressives say the facts speak for themselves. Homicide stats for indigionous people run the same patterns as the whole of the country or any other demographic. Fact is men get murdered 3 times as often as women. And in at least three quarters of cases there was a relationship between the perp and the victim ( colleagues or family or friends). It is telling how there is no outcry about First Nations missing and murdered men. The reason why, I would say is when men go missing people generally worry less than if it was a woman. And probably given the fact most people murdered are killed by someone who knows them well, perhaps those were the sort of men whose peers didn’t mind them disappearing.

  • Micky C.

Well the timing was right for little Justine. I’m sure comrade pope would be more than willing to comply. But I can only hope the rest of the curiae sees this for what it is. The thin edge to a shakedown and give the Holy Father a firm “Nyet!”

  • J. C.

Both of them can go to Hell…

  • Oracle9

The Pope, if he is one, should call Justin out on his radical pro-abortion policy, also a pointed question about his stance on sodomy would be appropriate as well.

This continual reinforcement of apologies and the deep entrenchment of dissatisfaction with our own society is a sign that things will not go well for Canada.

    • mobuyus

I don’t think we need these two talking sodomy by themselves behind closed doors in private alone with eachother.

  • mobuyus

Sophies got the look of an adultress meeting a pope about her. But she comes about it naturally.

    • LairdKintyre

She’s got to sow those wild oats somewhere. She never gets it from Justin

  • simus1

Surely Shiny Pony must have some small inkling that the do gooder mindset behind this (government supported) church based residential educational activity for aboriginal children was quite “progressive” for the times and rested on the familiar bedrock of “we know best sanctimonious superiority”, a “quality” apparently not found lacking either in the honourable gentleman .

    • LairdKintyre

Nothing goes so well as when a “”whole of Government approach “” is used as in Bill M103. Nothing quite like when government uses the full ass approach.

  • Clausewitz

The Prime Minister who initiated the Indian Act back in 1876 was Alexander Mackenzie. Canada’s first Liberal PM. You think Junior knows this point of history? I’m thinking no. Bad social policies usually begins and ends with Liberals.

But Justin wasn’t Princess then so the other ones don’t count.

  • xavier

Hey Justin. What about the feds? If they still have the bigotry of no expectations. How else to explain the persistence of reservations?

  • I’m sure the Pope was amused.

“Oh, look – a talking wig!”
