President Trump Meets Pope Francis: ‘I Won’t Forget What You Said’

In what can only be described as a cordial, successful meeting, Pope Francis received U.S. President Donald Trump in the Vatican Wednesday amidst smiles, handshakes and camera flashes.

The two leaders sat down for a half-hour face-to-face meeting, with the Pope leaning out over the table with his arms extended toward the President. On parting ways at the end of the meeting, the President thanked the Pope for his warm welcome, stating, “I won’t forget what you said.”

“I won’t forget what you said.”
I hope that was a threat.

Was thinking that the President might not have meant what the Pope hopes he did.

Well, now that he’s got the three rings of power the thing to do is head to Brussels and deliver the smackdown.

I think differently about that, since it would give recognition to the EU. Much better to follow through on this promise to deal directly with each individual country for trade or other agreements.

      • El Martyachi

If it means more smackdowns I’m all for it.

Maybe Trump was referring to this.

I would have thought Anti Pope Francis would have used this opportunity to have lectured Trump on the “evils” of capitalism.

Pope Evita looks like he’s been rode hard and put away wet.
