Over on Liveleak they are complaining that nobody helped her. I saw one guy go and look but he had enough sense not to touch her until the power lines are no live. If anybody touched her without the power being cut, there would have been more casualties. The Thais are generally very helpful people.

    • Good point.

Another indication would be a flat helmet indicative of ‘circumstances non-condusive to a continuation of life’ after being crushed by the end of a concrete power poll pulled down into her direction.

True enough. I just noticed the people getting out of their vehicles without any regard to the fact that they could be electrocuted. She was definitely dead.

I have a friend who testified in court about his actions to do with someone who he described as dead. The defence attorney did an ‘Ah-hah!’ interruption and tried to discredit him due to him not being qualified as a doctor and thus incompetent to make this premature assessment. My friend replied that since the body had no head it was not an unreasonable assessment, even for a non-doctor.

I worked on one of those shows and scoffed at how contrived a lot of the “offings were, but you look at that clip and realize how close death really is. Thailand is not even close to being a third world country ,setting levels of industrial practice and basic humanity that many north americans have not reached.
