‘Enough evidence’ to charge Australia’s highest ranking Catholic Cardinal George Pell, 75, over child sexual abuse, police told

Victoria Police are deciding whether to lay charges against Cardinal George Pell after being sent the historical sex abuse allegations by the Department of Public Prosecutions.

Allegations the Cardinal abused boys while working as a priest in Ballarat were aired in 2016 and again in new book released on Monday, all of which the senior Catholic official vehemently denies.

It is men like this that turned me against the church. Scary freaky men who turned an eight year old [me] into an atheist. The stories we heard from the reserves and the words that came out of preachers mouths was enough to send me running from the church. If he is guilty I wish he would be hanged.

    • To be fair, we don’t know if he’s guilty. That’s not just a legal sophistry. We really don’t know what’s going on here. But, yeah. I can’t understand how the Church hierarchy allowed itself to develop such a sick culture.

At least the Muslims were always honest about their Perversions.

Are you related to Dale Evans ?

You’re going down Cardinal……..ah…..oopsies…..perhaps an unfortunate phrase…..what I mean is consign punishment is a coming.

  • Spatchcocked

Believe me when I say I’ve seen the evil in the RC church……they vet their employees like Merkel vets her migrants…

” Father— I confess that I have touched myself on numerous occasions .Am I going to HELL ? Please Father –Will God ever Forgive me. ”

” Yes my Son–You will be forgiven. Disrobe. I will suck the Evil out of You.
If this ever ever occurs again— just think of Jesus and come back to me and I will Save You .”

Bag him now before he flees to the Vatican like Cardinal Law.

  • Before everyone jumps on the “Pell is evil” band wagon, the knives have always been out for him.

This is a witch hunt and sane bcf readers would do well to withhold judgement. Claims of sexual abuse by priests are grossly overstated in a world that is obsessed with sex.

  • Shebel

Strange how these olde perverted Priests— appear to live for EVER.

  • Shebel

    Course— so does George Soros.
Maybe we are on the wrong side .
And we are the EVIL ones.

  • Shebel

There MUST be a lot of People that agree with
    George Soros—
Otherwise , he would have been DEAD a long time ago.
This JOKE is coming to an END.

Commenting as a non Catholic and even a non Christian, I find it sad to see how many non Catholics love to pile on anything Catholic. I have no doubt that cases of inappropriate behaviour happened with some priests and that at the time the Vatican/Church covered it up. What I have never bought however is that all priests behave this way and that this was solely within the Catholic Church. There have been far more cases of this behaviour in other areas where adults supervise minors and that includes plenty of Protestant churches. I agree that such behaviour must be rooted out and stopped, but I also prefer to await evidence before jumping on the bandwagon. A case in point was the residential schools where no doubt some sexual abuse took place, but never to the extent claimed by the media or the scammers looking for more free money. Last of all am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy of society where we must not only accept but embrace and celebrate homosexuality while the same society gets its knickers all twisted when it is discovered that a Christian is guilty of homosexual activity? Oh, and then there is the push to lower the age of consent. I’ll leave it at that.

The thing is according to Catholic precepts it’s clergy is supposed to be above mere human sexuality and it’s expression. They are supposed to be above the desires of the flesh.
