Cage director charged under Terrorism Act for ‘failing to disclose his password’

A director of the controversial campaign group Cage has been charged under the Terrorism Act, police have said.

Muhammad Rabbani was detained at Heathrow Airport last November under counter terrorism stop and search powers and declined to give his computer password to officials.

Mr Rabbani, 36, attended Bethnal Green police station in east London with his lawyer on Wednesday morning to answer bail.
