Today, while we celebrate Israel’s independence, we also reaffirm our commitment to fight anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. Israel and its people continue to face threats throughout the world, including here in Canada. We stand on guard against a resurgence of anti-Semitism, hate, and discrimination in all its forms.
Amazingly, the FY 2017 budget was deliberately held over until this year instead of being completed in October or December 2016, precisely so that the victor of the election would reap the spoils of war. Well, Democrats lost the election but won this year’s budget. The reason why it took an extra few days to forge the “deal” is because once Republicans telegraphed the message that they’d jettison every conservative priority from the budget, Democrats then held out for their priorities. By and large, they got them.
The Peel District School Board (PDSB) says the debate over Muslim prayers in publicly funded schools is over. But parents from many different faiths are speaking out against public officials giving preferential treatment to one religion.
The PDSB has a charter that says they are committed to “gender equity”, yet these mini-mosques are gender segregated with boys at the front and girls at the back.
After receiving multiple complaints, Manitoba resident Nick Troller was forced to hand over his license plate that read “ASIMIL8,” a reference to the Borg from Star Trek, who assimilate other societies into their own by force. The phrases “we are the Borg” and “resistance is futile” are printed on the license plate’s frame.
There was a moment during the presidential campaign when then-candidate Donald Trump made conservative jaws drop as he defended Planned Parenthood on national TV during a Republican primary debate.
“Millions of millions of women — cervical cancer, breast cancer — are helped by Planned Parenthood,” Trump said more than a year ago on the CNN debate stage in Houston. “I would defund it because I’m pro-life, but millions of women are helped by Planned Parenthood.”
We now know, according to a New York Times interview, it was the president’s daughter, Ivanka, who convinced him to spare those kind words for the organ harvesters at Planned Parenthood.
New York-based Troll Cakes Bakery and Detective Agency will charge you $35 to send internet trolls a taste of their own vitriol in cake form, UPI reports.
Cakes ordered from the bakery have the original comment or social media post on the inside of the box and are also copied word-for-word onto the cake. The cakes are then sent to the homes of those who made the original comments, so long as they are located within the United States.
While Leonardo DiCaprio was marching around in Washington, D.C., at a global warming event on Saturday (he no doubt flew in on his private plane, burning fossil fuels and murdering the environment along the way), protesters in Denver couldn’t join in the fun.
No, they weren’t all too stoned to march.* A spring snowstorm dumped a foot of snow across the region, and the blizzard forced organizers to move the event to Sunday.
Twitter, of course, had a field day.

“During the past few months, I interviewed several dozen people about the prospects of cutting short Trump’s presidency,” Evan Osnos writes. “I spoke to his friends and advisers; to lawmakers and attorneys who have conducted impeachments; to physicians and historians; and to current members of the Senate, the House, and the intelligence services.”
All thanks to a picture of Trudeau wearing a firefighter jacket, CBS ranked Trudeau at number #1.
We beg to differ, is Trudeau actually sexy? Take the poll and share.
