Report: A More Conservative Alternative To Fox News Is In The Works

According to a source close with the negotiations, “conservative fat cats” are talking very seriously about launching a rival to Fox News Network. The reports come amid continued internal turmoil within the solitary mainstream right-leaning news network, turmoil largely caused by external scrutiny over sexual harassment allegations directed at two high-profile figures and what appears to be a power shift at the top.

Tucker and Hannity are worthwhile, that’s it.

    • Brett_McS

From what I have seen Bret Baier (no relation) is pretty good, but he’s in the news room.

I briefly subscribed to Fox News a few years ago to get Sun News.
It’s not as conservative as people think.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

    Screw Fox News.
I hope they get some real competition.

      CNN “right”

It will happen what happened in Alberta with Wildrose and the Conservatives splitting the right vote and NDP getting to power. MSNBC will be the winner.

  • Etobicoke_Gladiator

Thank God. I was quite tired of the American NDP. *sigh*

      • mauser 98

CNN , NBC rest all lead righteous charmed lives

  • Uncommunist

Why don’t they invest in The Rebel ?

    • Brett_McS

And CRTV, and Bill Whittle, and The Daily Wire, and Mark Steyn …. all doing great work on a shoe-string.

  • ntt1

the turmoil is being caused entirely by rupert Murdochs two idiotic liberal sons who are trying to re-engineer Fox. they are going to destroy it in order to create another MSNBC clone.

  • john700

The people on the right always complain about the media (justly), but I don’t understand why they don’t create or acquire their own media. People whine about Youtube and Facebook censoring, but why don’t they create their own platforms?

  • WalterBannon

fox news conservative, ha ha pull my other leg

  • Brett_McS

As the other networks have drifted left into crazy town, Fox sees an opening to expand into the vacated ‘middle of the road’ zone (actually, I believe CNN are looking to do the same from the other direction). I don’t think Murdoch ever set up Fox to be an explicitly conservative broadcaster; he just identified an opening and went for it, like any good businessman.

Maybe it’s his son’s pushing it leftward, or maybe it’s dad the canny businessman. If they don’t keep some explicitly conservative commentators we will know it’s the former, otherwise it’s probably the later.

I can only hope it will slip through the Censorship Bureau of Canada’s control of the CRTC and get into Canada.
