Trump administration weighing order to withdraw from NAFTA

The Trump administration is weighing an executive order on withdrawing from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), according to a source familiar with the plans.

The measure is in draft form and has been submitted to the White House staff secretary for the final stages of review, the source said. The order could be unveiled later this week or early next week, and changes could be made during the review process.

And still, even if this comes to pass, Trudeau’s main priorities will be legalizing pot, marching in as many Gay Pride parades as possible, and visiting as many mosques as possible while fighting “Islamophobia” in order to elevate M-103 into Canadian law.

Thanks, Trudeau, for destroying Canada as quickly as possible.

I hope this doesn’t effect the skin treatment he uses.

    • That’s pretty much it.

    • Well, not all of it will be destroyed. It will simply be divided up by interested parties. We’ll be different territories for different mafias or oligarchies.

I really hope he doesn’t flip on this, too.
NAFTA, and pretty much all multi-lateral agreements are worse than useless.
Bi-lateral agreements are the only reasonable way of getting things done that benefit both parties.

If they do Trump will have unrest in the states the states depends big time on both Canada and Mexico.

I genuinely hope Trump does pull out and also that he slaps that huge import tax on products subsidized by the Canadian government such as softwood lumber etc.

  • Dana Garcia

Kick out the freeloader Mexicans and work out something more equitable with Canada.

  • Millie_Woods

I hope he doesn’t put the kibosh that deal to take Ontario’s excess power at the exorbitant rate of $0.00 per KwH. That will really crush the economy.

I’m sure Justin’s only real concern is getting those “Syrian” refugees across the border to sanctuary and getting them settled into their new houses in Canada before Trump gets medieval on NAFTA.

    Good! No trade with HITLER!
That is what the Libs and the Left will say, right?

      I won’t hold my breath!

Trudeau should be happy about the US pulling out of NAFTA. After all, we had an election where Mulrony was for it and Cretien was against it, and the Conservatives won. The Libs should be looking at the death of NAFTA as a win.

NAFTA hurts American workers and Mexico should never have been included in that trade agreement

    • Alain

I concur and it also hurts Canadian workers. There was never any justification for including Mexico as you stated.
