I for one find this to be excellent news. Keep pushing Kellie.

I trust her her leadership but can the Liberals lose with her as head of the Conservatives? I admire people who stick to their guns.

      • Alain

I also find her platform the best on all accounts, but like you I am not sure she would be forceful and strong enough to withstand the onslaught from the MSM and the Left. She would have to another “Iron Lady”, and she just doesn’t strike me as so.

        • Maggat

Time will tell and I hope to hell she is capable of filling the role of the ‘iron lady’.

      • doowleb

Hmmm, Brexit, Trump, LaPen. You’ve been listening to the vintage media, haven’t you?

  • Maggat

Best news to have to start my day. I’d rather he backed Kellie Leitch, but Bernier is my second choise.

    • JoKeR

But has Maxime Bernier promised O’Leary to set him up with a biker babe stripper? 🙂

  • Jaedo Drax

no surprise, there was no “why” to o’leary, his campaign didn’t make any sense, and really didn’t do any marketing to members.

  • Tom Forsythe

I knew those photos would come in handy.

    • andycanuck

Russian call-girl ones provided by MI6?

  • Clausewitz

Kind of like hearing a wet fart in a windstorm. You think you heard something but you’re not quite sure.

I never understood what motivated him to enter in the first place. He hasn’t lived in Canada for years, doesn’t know much about it anymore and doesn’t really have much interest in it either. This is the right decision for him and the PCs.

  • Justin St.Denis

I suspect that O’Leary expected a coronation, rather like the one conferred upon Michael Ignatieff by the Liberals some years ago. O’Leary expected to be POPULAR, and discovered that many people cannot stand the sight or the sound of him. Add to all that the fact that Kevin is really not a conservative except on economic issues……

    • He is no populist.

      • john700

I suspect that O’Leary got a new contract from ABC.
And, by the way, is Bernier a real conservative?

        • Alain

On some issues but he has avoided the elephant in the room: bogus refugees and mass immigration made even worse by being of the wrong kind.

          • disqusW6sf

Ah ha. I didn’t see that. I hope he addresses that in this evenings discussion.

          • Alain

I am also unaware of him taking a strong stand in support of freedom of speech. Kelly was the one first out the gate condemning M103. Where was Max on this? If I missed it, then someone please fill me in.

  • robins111

Max is better for Gun Owners

  • Tokenn

Wow…this is a bombshell. Maxime is my favorite in this race, although I like O’Toole and Leitch as well.

  • New Centurion

Carnival barker. That’s all he is.

  • Dave

    One word: YAY!

  • Alain

I give him credit for being big enough to withdraw and place his support behind another candidate instead of dragging it out to the very end.
