Professor Says Male Student’s Paper Was So Triggering She Had Trouble Distinguishing Him From Her Rapist

A feminist professor said she was so triggered by a male student’s paper that “I began to have trouble distinguishing him from the man that [raped me].”

Writing anonymously in Inside Higher Ed, the professor described a lesson on rape culture she included in her gender class, saying she was frustrated with male students skeptical that it exists.

But one male student’s paper left her “thrown back into a pit of traumatic, fragmented memories,” she wrote.

One aspect of political discourse I am trying to kill is the “I suffered a trauma related to this issue, therefore I am an expert.”

No, you have an emotional bias that makes you LESS able to form reasonable opinions. We exclude crime victims from juries all the time, for this very reason.

This also applies to “some of my friends/family are (fill in the blank), and I think they are awesome people.” Your subjective opinion about people you have an emotional attachment to is not a sound basis for social policy.

This doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to have an opinion, or that we need to be emotionless robots, just that what you think makes you an expert is more likely to make you wrong.

    • You are quite right! In addition, why should anyone who suffers from (or imagine that they suffer from) this sort of PTSD related angst about a subject be allowed to teach classes about it. Let’s stipulate that this dingbat was really at some point a “victim” of “rape”, why would she even want to put herself into a situation where she is guaranteed to be constantly exposed to “triggers”? Why would a university administration allow her to put herself in that position? The only way any of that makes sense is that some might view her are the perfect way to squelch any sort of logical response to the totalitarian dogma that feminism, gender studies and progressivism churn out. And there she is, screaming “You get a f*cking zero” when someone tries to argue an alternative opinion. Its not “education” its what Mao called “re-education”.

      • She’s an expert at Victimhood.

Any time a feminist claims to have been a victim of rape, I tell her I am sorry that happened to her, and end the debate right there.

And that is probably what a third-wave feminist wants: for you to shut up. This will not prevent them from continuing to tell you how to think and what you should believe.

If she really was raped, I don’t have the skills to tactfully deal with that trauma. If she wasn’t, she is too crazy to bother with.

So the student was a muslim??

She should be in a mental institution not a college

Put her in to a rubber room.

In other words, she is not capable of doing her job.

Exactly like her rapist, imaginary as well……

That’s my first thought too, was it ‘rape rape’, or ‘a male disagreed with me rape’?

  • I would sue the sh– out of that woman. I would sue her until there was nothing left to take.
