Army and 50,000 police drafted in to guard voters fearing terror during French election

THOUSANDS of armed military officers will be deployed across France as the country goes to the polls for the presidential election tomorrow.

And anti-terror brigades set up after the 2015 attacks in Paris will be at every polling station as the public turns out en masse in the most controversial election in recent history.

French Interior Minister Matthias Fekl has also revealed that 50,000 police officers will be on patrol over fears extremists may plan a terror attack.

More than 230 people have been murdered and hundreds more injured in a variety of attacks over the past two years which prompted the country to declare a state of emergency.

This is the cost of Islam.

The largest deployment of French troops since the end of the Algerian war in 1962 is in France. Today. Right now. The weird thing is that this is something that is unlikely to happen anywhere else in the west. Think about it, which countries would permit the operational active duty deployment of combat troops in their own country. Legally it can’t happen in the US although I’m not sure using the NG is a distinction with a difference. But the UK? Germany? Poland? Spain? Holland? With the exception of the UK most of these countries barely have a standing army at all. Sweden wants to RE introduce the draft to ‘fight’ terrorism at home, whatever that means, because they whittled the armed forces to nothing. In next door Norway they just put up a PR campaign for the new female combat troops they created. But the rest of the army is a shambles. Germany’s armed forces are a paper tiger – they essentially have NO mobile armor in working condition. the Danes have lost one solider ‘fighting the war on Terrorism’ in Afghanistan. The Dutch army is unionized, the troops freely smoke weed and they stood aside as the Rwandan genocide unraveled right before their eyes.

Let’s be serious here. This is theater. French troops are going to what? Be police? They’re not police. The police are police.

The difference between the police and the army is that if an sergeant says “Cover me”, the police will have their pistols out and scanning windows and doors for any threat; in contrast the army will preemptively lay down suppressive fire on all possible firing points.

The Army is a blunt object. They kill people and break things. If you want the army in the streets then be prepared. I’m pretty sure we don’t want the army in the street.

      Poland can do it.

  • Get used to this, France.
