NYT Op-Ed Slams Transgender Ideology: Let Tomboys Remain Girls

A New York Times op-ed hit the transgender ideology for being anti-girl and anti-woman, and also prompted many liberal commentators to complain about the harmful impact of pro-transgender advocacy on normal girls and boys.

The comments made by the New York Times‘ readers show emerging hostility among liberal women to the demands by gay and transgender activists that testosterone treatments and sex-change surgery be given to young girls who show typically boyish behavior and attitudes, such as avoiding dresses and long hair, or preferring contact sports or playfighting.

  • The “transgender” issue is a transitory liberal intellectual fantasy.

It needs to die a sudden death.

    • I suspect it will much as “recovered memories” and alien abductions did.

But that won’t help the young’uns caught up in the madness and “helped” by hormonal treatments and surgeries that render them neuters.

I’d settle for any sort of demise sudden or other.

Oh teh SJWs are going to have a field day with this one

But the really important question is whether or not girls who transgender to boys will escape female genital mutilation. Feminism is a suicide pact.

One result of this whole “transgender” issue is to seriously narrow the definitions of what it is to be either “female” or “male”. The “tomboy” is told that she is really male and needs to transition; the boy who’s a bit of a dreamer and not a “boy boy” is pushed in the opposite direction. Both boys and girls need to be encouraged to explore their personalities without being labelled and medically abused.
