Who Lost Turkey?

As they used to say way back when in the long Ottoman twilight, the Turk is the sick man of Europe. Following this weekend’s Caliph-for-Life referendum, the Turk is sicker than ever. But he’s no longer of Europe, and instead is exiting for a destination dark and catastrophic for almost all his neighbors.

Sultan Erdoğan – who, a mere 15 years ago, was banned from holding political office – has now succeeded in dismantling almost every defining element of the Kemalist republic. What replaces it will be a crude strongman state in service of Islamic imperialism.

I used to have RESPECT for the Turks —
    In a former Life.

I just can’t remember that life.

    Now ,I despise THEM.

    • One sick nation, but Islam does that, everything it touches turns to shit.

The Byzantines lost it to the Turks. From that moment on it was destined to become a Muslim shithole. Ataturk only delayed the inevitable.

Some say Turkey should not be in NATO.
    I disagree.
Turkey should be the ONLY member of NATO.

This past few years of Erdogan’s rise to complete power in Turkey seem very similar to a power rise carried out in the 1930s in Germany.

Fascism in Turkey was already set in place. All Erdogan needed was the illusion of consent from the people. It would not even surprise me if there was any vote rigging and other dirty tricks, such as violence and intimidation in the referendum.

AKA, the Rieichtag Building and the recent upsets and arrests, now the ‘vote’ in Turkey. Similarities, I think so.

In a nutshell: TURKEY – reestablishing the Ottoman Empire ain’t gonna happen. Giving up the national secularity will send it down the road of (in the archaic term) perdition.

    Turks invading Europe yet again.

    There will be Holy war.
Turkish officials have already said that.
