    The major parties don’t provide much of a choice – Germany isn’t alone there! – so there will be AfD protest votes, but I would guess that Merkel’s party will scrape back in. If that happens and they lose a lot of seats they may elect a new leader – someone more in tune with popular sentiment – at some point.

    • Their system practically ensures coalition governments, everything is watered down.

    Why spend money worrying about Russia when you can sit back and murder your nation from the inside at a fraction of the cost and trouble. East German Communists didn’t particularly love Communism. Most of them were ex Nazis who found a job doing the same thing they did during the war. The flag doesn’t matter. And it won’t matter when the German flag is replaced by Mohamed’ black battle flag either.
