Germans wanting to aid refugees now at risk of bankruptcy

Volunteers who wanted to help Syrian refugees bring their families to Germany now face huge payments – because a law was changed after they signed their guarantor obligations.

    It’s about time.

Now they have to pay for their virtue signalling, rather than these people insisting that everybody else pay for their displays of self righteousness.

    • Good!

    • The Butterfly

      Everybody else will still pay.

    • Alain

Yes, long overdue but not enough. They should also have to pay for any and all criminal acts by those they sponsored.

File under : No good deed goes unpunished.

    • The Butterfly

Good deed? What are you talking about? Hiding Nazis in your attic is having it ass-backwards.

      • Tooth&Claw

From their perception it’s a good deed. Oops they misjudged.

        • occupant 9

Betrayed their fellow citizens/misjudged, kinda close.

  • Hard Little Machine

    Who cares?

    • deplorabledave

      Not moi.

      • Hard Little Machine

Right. A bunch of people who now have to pay the government to allow them to support a bunch of angry violent foreigners on their own dime? Sounds good.

I wonder if the churches are getting caught in this, too.

          • Alain

            If not, they should.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      I do.
      It’s fun to watch.
Kind of like those people who fell for the Ontario Liberal scam that caused them to invest in their own generating capacity to sell to the grid.
Or the people who bought shares in Crocus in Manitoba.
Or the people who invested in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

  • Oh, well.

  • Ed

So the choice is either the guarantors pay or the government?

Why not a third. Get a damn job and pay your own way “refugees.”

    • occupant 9

Nope. That would render the jizya void, which in the Muhammadans eye is the obligation of the kafir to support them.

      It’s Sharia Time!

  • Brett_McS

Of course this is the way it should have been from the start. Better late than never.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      I see a loophole they haven’t closed.
How long does a refugee have to be ‘self supporting’ before the guarantors are off the hook?
I can see job churn happening.

    • occupant 9

How about NOT letting in ANY person that doesn’t go along with the laws of the land.

When my ancestors came as pioneers, NO ONE supported them. They and the many other pioneers and settlers ended up supporting everyone else due to their breaking the land into farm land!

Something similar is happening here, do a Google or Yahoo search of “Syrian Canada month 13”

There was a small story in the paper a few months back that Tima Kurdi (Aunt of boy on the beach) was kicking her brother out along with his family because he was refusing to get a job. Not sure if she actually did it.

This will teach the Flüchtlingshilfe Mittelhessen a lesson.
