New Ways of Responding to Extremist Islam

According to Hirsi Ali, along with drones, counter-terrorism and security measures, the West needs to invest in an ideological war against radical Islam. If terrorist violence is the jihadi hardware, its software is radical Islam. To cripple the hardware, you have first to block the software.

The Islamic world is investing in “dawa”, or Islamic propaganda. “Since the early 1970s, Middle Eastern charities have distributed $110 billion, $40 billion of which found its way to sub-Saharan Africa and contributed heavily to Islamist ideological indoctrination there”, Hirsi Ali writes.

Of course the easier way is to end Muslim immigration and shut down the mosques that spread hate coupled with deportation.

The math is easy, less Islam equals less terrorism.

On Twitter you posted a quote from Ms. Hirsi Ali: “Tolerance of intolerance is cowardice”.

Now here you post the following:

“Of course the easier way is to end Muslim immigration and shut down the mosques that spread hate coupled with deportation.

The math is easy, less Islam equals less terrorism.”

While I agree that mosques whose imams preach hate should be shut down, in both sentences you display extreme intolerance by tarring every Muslim with the same terrorist brush. You could have called for better immigrant screening to weed out terrorists, or you could have stated that “less *extremist* Islam equals less terrorism”. Yet you chose slurs against all Muslims instead. I guess the math must have been easier for you.

According to Ms Hirsi Ali’s quote, that makes you a hypocrite. An intolerant hypocrite. And a coward.

Next time try reading the quotes you post. You might learn something.

Can’t tell which Muslim is going to ‘snap’ and go jihadi , sadly.

    • A rational person can conclude that not every Muslim is a madman bent on murder.

      But a significant number are.

They take with them a culture that has not reformed since the seventh century.

Even if kind and level-headed, people tolerating that intolerance in the sectarian community is a fault of its own.

Muslims have tarred themselves with the same brush.
The tarry brush is islam. Islam as it is, not as presented to unbelievers.
There’s no such thing as radical islam, moderate islam, or extremist islam, there’s just islam.

The problem is, terrorism isn’t the only concern when it comes to Islam. It may actually even be the least of concerns. The problem is Islam itself. It has shown itself to be an intolerant ideology. And since it is an intolerant ideology, why should we be tolerant of it?

Kudos to everybody here replying to Catti in a civil and rational manner. This is why I respect this forum.

Part of Ayaan’s strategy of opposing Islamist ideology is to increase muslim immigration so we can educate them into the wisdom of western civilization. So my admiration for her has decreased considerably.

If only we had enough wolves in the fold, we could teach them to eat grass.

She is not who she purports to be.
      She hates Trump, too.
All I see is a Somali.
      I’ve worked with them.
They are as dumb as posts and morally bankrupt.
When conservatives venerate her they are engaging in the same kind of virtue signalling that we despise the left for.
      It’s just wrong.
      Stop it.

No accomodations, no appeasement, it’s the only way.
