I think there’s a lesson in there somewhere.

  • They didn’t show the part where after he fell into the big sewer he was swept into the ocean and swallowed by a great whale.

Must’ve been in Latin America. Traffic controls are an alien concept to them.

I was in Guayaquil, Ecuador for a couple of weeks in Jan 1994. Saw a pregnant woman get struck down by a car traveling balls-to-walls. The driver didn’t even tap his brakes afterward, just kept on keeping on. I administered first aid on the scene. A cop stood by with his dangles in his hand.

I don’t know if she survived after the ambulance (which seemed to take forever to arrive) trucked her off. I doubt it. Even if so, she probably lost her baby.

I was almost struck by a car the next day in Quito, the capital. The drivers in Ecuador are batshit. I can’t imagine it’s much better anywhere else south of the Rio.

They know when a red light turns green. But I think this one is in China judging by the writing on the construction guards around the hole.
