Trudeau and the politically correct elites operate from the mindset that says grabbing people’s guns makes everyone safer. They fail to recognize that a one-size fits all approach is doomed to failure for a very simple reason: Rural Canadians – who have a high proportion of the guns in Canada – are not the source of gun crime.
People in rural areas – especially the most isolated parts of the country – need guns for self-defence. There is no way people can rely on a quick police response, and there are threats in rural areas from animals that are simply not encountered in the city. Additionally, hunters and firearm enthusiasts are among the most law-abiding people in the country, and are not a source of gun crime.
It’s not about gun crime, it’s about the ability to defend yourself from criminals and the government – but I repeat myself.
Imam Syed Soharwardy of Calgary, the head of the Calgary-based Islamic Supreme Council of Canada and the founder of Muslims Against Terrorism, is often invited by CBC as a guest expert to discuss issues related to terrorism and radicalization. He is introduced as a moderate voice in the Muslim community who “has worked to prevent the radicalization of youth in Canada.”
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, Soharwardy delivered a speech at Christ Church Scraborough Village in Toronto. The following are excerpts from Soharwardy’s speech entitled “Interfaith Dialogue – Understanding Islam and Muslims”.
Some members of the Senate are determined to stop Parliament from changing the words of the national anthem, with one senator deriding the late Liberal MP Mauril Bélanger’s proposed amendments to O Canada as “clunky, leaden and pedestrian.”
Liberal Senator Joan Fraser, a self-described “ardent feminist,” said the new phrasing is both grammatically incorrect and a misguided attempt to make the song reflect “today’s values.”
Reliable sources say the new Canadian national anthem will be Give Thanks to Allah by Michael Jackson.
Private Islamic school in Sweden accused of gender segregation; PM calls allegation ‘disgusting’
It is “disgusting” if girls at a private Islamic school in Stockholm are directed to the back door of a school bus while boys use the front door, as claimed by a television documentary, Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said Tuesday. “It does not belong in Sweden” to have primary schools dividing children, aged between 6 and 10, by gender, Lofven said.
“This suggests that we have more to tackle when it comes to segregation.”
Segregation isn’t the problem, PM.
Education Minister David Eggen told school boards Monday not to notify parents if their child joins a gay-straight alliance.
No legislation prohibits teachers from telling parents what clubs students have joined, but Eggen said he’s looking at changing that.
Although teachers in the public and private systems are bound by codes of conduct, Eggen admitted Monday an absence of law creates the potential for a problem.
“I am telling you today that such notification should not occur,” he wrote.
“We have heard loud and clear from students that GSAs … save lives. I ask all of you to support students in the establishment of these groups if they are choosing to form them.”
At a rural town hall meeting in La Bazoche-Gouet, French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen criticised her globalist rival Emmanuel Macron for “insulting the people and France”. She promised her supporters they would “never get used to terrorism” saying she would bring “Islamist fundamentalism to its knees”.
Reaching out to what the Front National leader calls “forgotten France”, Le Pen spoke at a rally in an open-sided barn to nearly 1,000 people in the small Eure-et-Loir town, which has a population of just 1,200, on Monday.
“The other candidates are only in big cities,” she said whilst taking selfies with the eager members of the crowd. “I have been meeting in small villages and meeting French people who have never seen a candidate come to see them. It is my place, I am here among the French people who I want to defend.”
Stanford University, one of America’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning, has reportedly accepted the application of a Muslim teenager whose application included the repetition of the slogan “blacklivesmatter” exactly 100 times.
Ahmed, 18, appears to be making rapid strides in the world of left-wing activism. His Twitter profile includes pictures with former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State and failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Pro-#BLM, Muslim, and can count to 100? A rare bird indeed.
The meltdown not only continues, but appears to be increasing in intensity. At this point I don’t know if there’s enough Valium and diapers in the world for the hysterics at the Times. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for them, but we have a president who doesn’t care about their feelings nor does he need to be liked by them. That is at the core of the liberal establishment mass hysteria~~ we suddenly have a man in the White House they can’t bully and control. Thank God.
Is Rachel Dolezal actually a black woman? According to CNN, it’s quite possible.
In his latest video, Mark Dice shows both CNN’s Don Lemon and Michael Smerconish suggesting Rachel Dolezal may be black because she “identifies” as such.
Dolezal has a new book out called “In Full Color: Finding My Place in a Black and White World” where she claims that “race is a social construct.”
While interviewing her for his show on CNN, Michael Smerconish said that as he was reading the book he “was thinking Caitlyn Jenner” and asked “is there an analogous situation here?”
Yes there is: insanity.
It is unclear why officers are making fewer arrests. Some in law enforcement cite diminished manpower and changes in deployment strategies. Others say officers have lost motivation in the face of increased scrutiny — from the public as well as their supervisors.
The picture is further complicated by Proposition 47, a November 2014 ballot measure that downgraded some drug and property felonies to misdemeanors. Many police officers say an arrest isn’t worth the time it takes to process when the suspect will spend at most a few months in jail.
In Los Angeles, the drop in arrests comes amid a persistent increase in crime, which began in 2014. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck noted that arrests for the most serious crimes have risen along with the numbers of those offenses, while the decrease comes largely from narcotics arrests.
Men are holding hands in protest against anti-gay violence in the Netherlands
Mr Vernes-Sewratan told NOS: “‘We don’t usually do that, holding hands in public, for the very reason that we don’t want to provoke people. But we’d had a nice evening, it was late and we thought we were alone.
“And then suddenly there was a group of six to eight Moroccan youths. Before I knew it I was on the ground fighting with three men on top of me.”
The attack has prompted outrage across the Netherlands, and numerous men have taken up a suggestion by journalist Barbara Berend for men to hold hands to demonstrate solidarity with the victims of homophobic violence.
The media will never admit it’s not homophobic violence, it’s Islamic violence.
“Obviously we are very anxious to determine who lies at the source of this activity and that’s why both CSIS and the RCMP are investigating,” Goodale said.
“We want to make sure that we get to the bottom of this and find out the facts and the RCMP and CSIS are in the best position to do that.”
Goodale confirms the spying was not being done by a Canadian agency using International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) catchers. But he could not say whether those using the IMSI catchers might be domestic organized crime, a foreign intelligence agency or some other source.
