Venezuela on a Knife’s Edge

The growing socialist dictatorship in Venezuela hit a speedbump briefly when the opposition to Venezuelan President Maduro gained a (disputed) supermajority in the legislature. Despite this, Maduro’s power grab had proceeded unabated, if not outright accelerated.

The so-called Supreme Court is comprised of Maduro hand puppets. They have utterly failed in their duty to uphold the constitution. Come the counter-revolution, they may wish to consider retiring to another country, as there may be some residual bitterness and I loathe blood shed.

While watching this disaster unfold we might ponder whether we would be any more robust in our push back than the poor people of Venezuela.

Better to avoid a catastrophe altogether than push back on one.
