Let’s have a national conversation about Canadian values

As our country’s 150th birthday celebrations get underway, we owe it to ourselves to have a mature and non-partisan discussion about Canadian values.

The topic is right up there now at centre stage. It would be a missed opportunity of the greatest magnitude if we let it slip away. Yet this is what too many Canadians, particularly those in the chattering classes, seem content to let happen.

John A MacDonald was really a Liberal gay muslim.
He had to pretend to be a Tory drunken Scot so all the racist Orange settlers would vote for hm.

Well, he had to so the Americans wouldn’t get there first.

When did politicians own ‘Canadian’ values and if one didn’t vote for them why do they speak for all Canadians on ‘opinion’ when supposedly their mandate should mostly entail the platform they ran on.

Or as dear old dad would say Screw them and the horses they rode in on

Uh, uh, uh… uh, uh, uh….. Uh, what are, uh, Canadian values?

Check out this Justin Trudeau video, put your feet up, and laugh out loud.

      Sorry man, can’t watch it.
I’ll tell you what though, if you have to ask what Canadian values are then you’re a navel gazing fuckwit.
      No, not you E_G, Justin.
      Anyway, the question is obscene.
Canadian values, like the values of other Anglosphere countries are defined by the Magna Carta or as I like to call it, The Big Card.
See, Moses needed two tablets and the English needed only one.
George Carlin, eat your heart out.

Amen. I’m with ya, brotha! 🙂

We should but it will never happen as certain groups such as BLM would say its racist to even talk about buildings would be torched cars set on fire then you have the human rights that atleast in Ontario have gone off the deep end.

    • Alain

BLM is a foreign import and has nothing to do with Canadian values. They should be ignored.

How about starting with “Being a Canadian Nation”.

  • Art Deco

“Canadian values”? As in Jean Chretien: “Da scam is da scam and when you gotta good scam, waaaal, dats da scam. And dat, to me, is da Canadian values”.

Negotiate a velvet divorce from Quebec, take down the Stop / Arret signs, repeal the “Charter of Rights” and every other piece of legislation Pierre-Elliot Trudeau ever asked for, restore the 1867 ensign, sing God the Queen, shut down the CBC; read the riot act to your appellate courts, your public interest bar, and Svend Robinson; repeal all ‘anti-discrimination law”; raise military spending to 2.2% of gross domestic product; withdraw from the United Nations and every other international organization that is ornamental, obnoxious, or officious (to any party not seeking a loan); require aspriant immigrants to (Anglophone) Canada pass a written and oral proficiency test in English and wait their turn in a queue; limit immigration from a list of 25 problem countries to families with children (wherein every member over 14 has demonstrated English proficiency) or to older married couples, with dispensations for cultural minorities in those countries (e.g. Iraqi Christians); limit naturalization to people who’ve spent the majority of their adult life as lawful and palpable residents of Canada (or as members of the Canadian Armed Forces if residing abroad), require any person natualized to renounce their previous citizenship unless they were citizens of a country wherein the Queen reigns or citizens of Quebec, limit annual issuance of settler’s visas to a 0.125% of the extant population of (Anglophone) Canada (unless a larger number is required to supply fertility deficits – about 80,000 per year will do right now), limit temporary residents visa to an annual issuance equal to the mean annual verified departures in recent years, and quit priding yourself on virtue-signalling and pusillanimity.

Don’t ponder ‘Canadian Values’. Just BE Canadian, and don’t listen when your fancied social betters tell you to be something else.

      Sing God Save the Queen.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

        We mean it man!

    • robins111

Great rant. Agreed on all points. You need to insert a Canadian version of the 2nd amendment in there also.

      • A Hamilton Guy

        Agreed!.

    • A Hamilton Guy

      Boy! Do I like that.
