Liberals to announce marijuana will be legal by July 1, 2018

CBC News has learned that the legislation will be announced during the week of April 10 and will broadly follow the recommendation of a federally appointed task force that was chaired by former liberal Justice Minister Anne McLellan.

Potulism Populism at work to boost his approval rating among a certain segment of the Canadian population. *sigh*

    • ontario john

He is so wonderful! Everyone in Canada loves our little prince.

      • David Murrell

The dope smoking, and very pro-Liberal, journalists certainly do.

        • Alain

Are they not more into snorting? I think that is considered more of an elite thing for the chattering class.

          • David Murrell

            I stand corrected!

          • Ron MacDonald

            Cocaine will be legalized next.

He is so wonderful, and rumour has it well on his way to becoming a devout Muslim. In fact, this photo will soon be appearing on billboards in Emerson, Manitoba, and elsewhere when illegal migrants “new Canadians” enter Canada. I’m not certain if he smokes pot any longer that he has Mohammed the warlord in his life, but time will tell.

        • …he does attend mosque every Friday…

          • Gary

That’s why his Muslim MP’s want the 4 day week with Friday off. It’s part of making Canada sharia compliant.

        • Tooth&Claw

How to make any man ugly.

      • You need serious help, see a mental health professional.

        And Cuba!

      • I think he is working on lowering certain acts to age fourteen.

        What a pig.

  • ontario john

Well, little Justin once admitted that he smokes grass with his buddies, so I guess he can do it legally now.

  • FactsWillOut

The government should not be in the business of regulating recreational drugs at all.

    • reidjr

      It has to be regulated.

      • FactsWillOut

        YOU need to be regulated.
        FIFY.

    • tom_billesley

They only want to legalize it so they can tax it.

  • The__Hammer

I’ll believe it when I see it

    • Gary

With the election in 2019, watch how he builds in a clause to do full study in 2020 .
This gets him past the election if he wins and then can drag it out to repeat the process for 2024 .

  • CodexCoder

So we are going to legalize another substance for people to smoke with more side effects than tobacco and for years, the government has been trying to stop people from smoking tobacco. How does this make sense?

    • Alain

Please pay attention to the narrative: tobacco is evil, pot is great.

      • terrence22

pot is not only great. it is SACRED, NO MUST BE TREATED AS SUCH

  • LairdKintyre

Never understood the appeal. Pot is disgusting. I’ve had the distinct non pleasure of standing in close proximity to the foul animals who smoke the rotten garbage. In line ups at corner stores usually, dirty stoners getting their other fix of junk food. I always make a point of grimacing as I wave my hand in front of my face or hold my nose. I don’t care if the clowns see me do it or not.

    • LairdKintyre

To me, Pot smells like dirty damp clothes moulded ingredients in a hot dry attic.

    • Thank you!

  • Tooth&Claw

Circumstances change on a dime. I don’t think he’ll get the opportunity.

  • Ron MacDonald

Those licensed to sell it will closely connected to the Liberal Party of Canada.

  • Yes, get stoned. It will take one’s mind off of being in tremendous debt.

  • Gary

This will be great when Cops, Pilots, welders, EMS staff, surgeons, bus driver, crane operator , subway workers , ship captains and fire fighters can smoke pot thanks to Justin.
Oh wait , the pot heads I hear from don’t want adults with responsible jobs to smoke it while only unemployed lazy youth living at home with no responsibilities should be able to smoke it.

Legal marijuana in Justin’s Canada will only be sold in government controlled retail outlets such as the LCBO in Ontario. Other provinces that don’t have an equivalent to one such as Alberta I predict will create one to accommodate marijuana sales and distribution especially in Notley’s Alberta. Many who voted for Trudeau merely for the legalization of marijuana will feel betrayed seeing this as another form of prohibition.
