A very dark day for the nation; much worse ones ahead, I’m afraid.

    • ontario john

      Next step, sharia law.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

I looked up this Sherry Law on google images and found some rather fetching girls.

    • Until we clean house.

      • V10_Rob

That assumes the next time the Tories are in power they’ll repeal this law, instead of cowering in fear at being called an -ist of some variety. I am not holding my breath.

        • Watchman

Don’t expect this motion to ever be repealed, as with its non-definition of ‘islamophobia’ it would be like repealing a motion supporting ‘motherhood’ without understanding that the supporter’s definition ‘motherhood’ might mean greater custody rights for women over men and mandatory free childcare for working mothers.

    • Clausewitz

The death of free speech in Canada started today.

  • ontario john

Yes one day after the London attack, they pass a motion to prevent any negative comments about Islam. So make sure you don’t say mean things about all those imams in Canada calling for the death of Jews or Christians. That’s Islamophobic.

    • The Liberals will suffer for this. People will not forget this treason.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

Does M103 only cover one religion?

        • Clausewitz

          In practice, yes.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Well that’s bullshit.
I pray to the Star Man and David Bowie is my prophet.
            Except for this one time…

          • Justin St.Denis

That was a genuine misstep for Bowie.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            How you doing, man?
Haven’t talked to you in a while.

          • Justin St.Denis

Doing good, Dance. We’re off to Mexico next week to visit an old family friend, then back home to start into some serious yard work. The local farmers tell me it’ll be an early growing season. How are you doing/coping? Getting much chance to travel back home to the wife and kids? Take care, now, 😉

          • dance…dancetotheradio

My wife is up here for the weekend.
            Spring break.

          • Justin St.Denis

Enjoy the chance to be together just the two of you. My wife and I waited decades for that! 😉

          • That is truly horrible. It makes me want to cry. Or drink. Or hide. Some combination of those things.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Even fallen angels get redeemed.
It’s just that sometimes you have to travel back in time to do it.

        • Watchman

          In theory, no.

          • andycanuck

Yeah. I’m pretty sure when the Conservatives tried to get the wording changed to respect all religious beliefs (and for non-believers?), the Liberals refused.

          • Watchman

Motion 103 contains the following language:
“condemn Islamophobia and all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination”
“reducing or eliminating systemic racism and religious discrimination, including Islamophobia”
So you see in theory it decries all religious discrimination, of which ‘islamophobia’ is supposedly just an example.

          • Concerned Canadian

If it pertains to all religions, why mention islam specifically. Oh by the way, islam is not really a religion, but a political ideology.

          • Watchman

It provides cover to get this motion passed, and more worryingly to require a study to: “develop a whole-of-government approach to reducing or eliminating systemic racism and religious discrimination including Islamophobia, in Canada”. What is the bet that the committee will recommend that the government legally ban certain forms of speech to achieve this aim? Expect blasphemy laws to be suggested by the report, but if turned into law will only ever used against anti-Islam commentators.

The mention of racism is to get the SJWs on their side. The mention of other religions is to get the Christian churches onside and not be against this motion and subsequent blasphemy laws. Instead of a motion protecting one religion it was promoted as a motion protecting all religions, but it was just for show and to get the motion passed.

          • Clausewitz

We however are talking practicalities and you know that since Prime Minister Shahada is in charge. Well you figure it out.

          • Watchman

You had to view my comment in context, when only Clausewitz and I had commented, Clausewitz’s and my answer combined cover the answer to the question.
“Does M103 only cover one religion?”
Our combined answer: In theory, no. In practice, yes.

      • ontario john

Meanwhile one of feminist Trudeau’s feminist MPs called a conservative female MP a stripper and asked if she slides down poles. No reaction from feminist Trudeau, because he is on another selfie tour.

        • Watchman

Fake news: “Poles Applaud Trudeau Offering 10,000 Immigration Spots To Polish Nationals As Apology”

        • Because Liberals regard women as wh0res.

          • Clausewitz

That’s because Liberal men will only ever hang out with Liberal women, so all they deal with are whores. Strong conservative women scare the piss out of these beta males.

          • There is something about self-possessed women that beta-males cannot take.

      • Watchman

Oh yes they will. No MSM will bring this up as an issue in the lead up to an election. Trudeau will offer some sweet morsel to attract voters, and the voters will not ask who is going to pay for their promised morsel.

    • mobuyus

I’ll only speak the truth about islam.

      • Shebel

        Islamophobic Racist !

        • Shuali

          Idiot Muslim ass kisser

          • k2

You are perhaps a bit new here and since he didn’t put a sarcasm tag on his post, you didn’t realize: Shebel is anything *but* a Muslim ass kisser. He was joking.

      • Watchman

Don’t expect that to save you when legislation is enacted to provide teeth to ‘anti-discrimination’ when they discover that M-103 seems to have had no effect on the publics views on islam.

The muslim concept of slander doesn’t consider the truth of any statements in deciding guilt or innocence. https://counterjihad.com/backgrounder/slander-in-islamic-law-what-youre-not-allowed-to-say-or-know/

        • mobuyus

I will not be tried under sharia law. Not in Canada.

          • Watchman

No, but you might be tried under Canadian law, which might be just a watered down version of Shari’a law (no death penalty), but it might still put a curb on your future speech as well as a financial penalty. Even if you are found innocent, the process is the punishment, as Ezra Levant found out in his prosecution by the Alberta Human Right Commission.

          • mobuyus

They’ll rue the day they ever try a stunt like that on me. I can be quite dynamic.

    • Watchman

If only Motion 103 had been voted on a day before. Then Kent-born British national Khalid Masood might not have been shot and killed for his ‘driving while muslim’ and ‘stabbing policeman while muslim’. His death was proof of the islamophobia that can occur without the benefits that a virtue-signalling, vote-buying M-103 would have given.

  • Clink9

They are out of their minds.

    • mobuyus

And demand we be too. No fucking way.

      • Clink9

I want to see them enforce this garbage.

        • mobuyus

I’ve been keeping a dossier on islam that will expose it in a court of law as the medievil mumbo-jumbo it smells like. What’s next? Jailed for failing to believe in the tooth fucken fairy.

          • Watchman

First must comes the motion against those refusing to acknowledge the Tooth Fairy. When this doesn’t work, then comes the criminal law enforcing the Motion. Only after that will you be jailed.

I don’t think your dossier will be protected, even if you claim it to be an untouchable exempt religious text like the muslims call their Qur’an, Ahadith and Sunnah. Being a religion text makes it exempt from scrutiny or criticism – unless it is the Bible or the Torah, whereupon its ‘game on, man.’

          • mobuyus

Oh it’s not their texts I have in my dossier. Hateful islamic acts breed hatred for islam and that can be proven in court. Hurt feelings won’t count for shit in a real court.

          • shasta

  • bargogx1

The most shocking thing about the list is how many of them actually showed some spine.

    • Frances

That would be the BQ and most of the Conservatives. Don’t know which Conservatives voted for the motion, but we know who voted which way because the Tories forced a recorded vote.

  • Clausewitz

My MP is a Liberal, I rightfully assume that he’s a vote whoring Progressive Asshole.

    • shasta

As “vote whoring Progressive Asshole” is the definition of a Liberal, that would be a good assumption.

  • Shebel

    It was a Liberal set-up.
I think Patrick Brown did the correct thing politically.

  • Starlord

    Mohammad murdered people.

    • Watchman

And that’s one of the reasons why muslims like him so much – no namby-pamby pacifists like Jesus Christ or Buddha for them!

  • Carol Knox

A phobia is defined as an “irrational” fear. My fear of Islam is not “irrational”. It’s based on 14 centuries of history repeating itself. Fools.

  • Spatchcocked

As Ayann Hirsi Ali said and explained patiently to that CBC dick interviewer…”there is no such thing as islamophobia”

I ask you….who should know better?

The CBC dick was that smarmy spawn of Broadbents spawn. Can’t remember the simps name….Klein’s beard.

I remember her shaming the simp Marxist turd.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

She’s hiding her contempt for Trump now that he’s won.
I don’t trust her at all.

  • LairdKintyre

So it has come. What else should I expect when our once great Nation was handed to Marxists in Liberal garb working hand in glove with the Islamists? Makes me wonder how much longer a forum like this one here will be around now. Hillary Clinton was talking about taking down Breibart during the election campaign. Thank God Trump came out on top. I used to post on CBC NEWS but opted out after anymous comments were no longer accepted. Wouldn’t surprise me if sites like this start to get taken down by Trudeau.

  • andycanuck

“Yea”. Effing Liberal bunt. (Although I didn’t expect any different.)

  • Frances

Understand the only Conservative who voted for this is Michael Chong, who aspires to the leadership of his party.

    • Clausewitz

And now he’ll know what its like to get zero votes during the first round at the Conservative leadership election. What a fool.

  • Now, now – Nazi party voters helped, too.

    I mean, Liberal party voters.

Oh, and the NDP and the Tories, too.

  • felis gracilis

“Is Your MP a vote whoring apologist for the Islamic Death Cult?”
My MP is a Liberal; an ovine Turdeau coat-tail Liberal. That means the same thing.

  • Watchman

If ‘Islamophobia’ was defined to be, like the other phobias in the DSM† to be, the ‘unreasonable or irrational fear of islam’, it would be a clinical diagnosis and not treatable by exposure to more knowledge since this fear is inherently irrational. It would then make as much sense as making laws to ban arachnophobia (irrational fear of spiders), acrophobia (irrational fear of heights), or nyctophobia (irrational fear of the dark). If you ban phobias, you then must enforce mandatory treatment if you legislate the elimination of a phobia. So, if this ‘islamophobia’ was a real phobia and must be eliminated, expect the mandatory enforced treatment by drugs or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Goodbye Canadian citizen rights.

But we all know that the true ‘islamophobia’ is really ‘blasphemy against islam’ in disguise as a legitimate clinical phobia.

† The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) is published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and offers a common language and standard criteria for the classification of mental disorders.

  • Maggat

Nice to see how my MP voted. Stupid bitch!
