Pope Francis will travel to Egypt next month, the Vatican said Saturday, giving him another opportunity to promote better relations between Catholics and Muslims.

Ann Barnhardt is right: Benedict is the Pope, and Francis is the Antipope.

To say that is is going to “mend ties” implies that there were at one time ties, that are now broken. When exactly was this golden age when there were ties?

  • PaulW

Yup, the Jesus who wasn’t divine or the son of God, and who did not die on the cross, is the same as the biblical Jesus who *is* divine and the son of God and who did die on the cross to redeem humanity from sin. And all religions are the same, equally valid/invalid, all cultures are equivalent; there is no objective good and evil … yeah, we all know the story.

This guy is a progressive politician, not a priest, who happened to choose the Catholic Church as his path to power. He would get along fine with all those wonderful New World Order folk like Obama, Soros, Merkel and Trudeau, because he’s one of them.

Meanwhile Mayor John Tory visited a mosque in India. It seems a requirement for Canadian politicians to visit mosques.

Gee, what is that little passage in the Bible that Jesus states that no one comes to the Father except through me?

      John 14:6

He’s the most unpopely pope in my lifetime.
I wonder if he feels sufficiently strong about it being wrong to equate islam with violence that he dismisses his security detail in order to show his commitment and confidence in their good faith. To walk amidst those of the religion of peace unimpeded by the stigma, as it were, of the possibility of his hosts being offended by the notion that he might require protection while in their safe harbour.
Perhaps he should make a little side trip to Palestine, while he’s at it. Much might be accomplished by such an exhibition.

    Will he convert to Islam?

    • DMB

I think he wants to merge all of Christianity and Islam into Chrislam in order to make it the one world religion. Anti-pope Francis isn’t the only one!

        ?!wow!?
        the idea not the video,

Globalists want to make everything global. Globalized economy, citizenship and currency. Religion is no exception. A single global religion makes it easier for globalists to control the masses. Anti-pope Francis is a GLOBALIST.

          • vwVwwVwv

as nobody tells you he is globalist, its a frame fits to anything.
religion is not so much of importance for me,
saying this i count Islam not
            to religions.

globalism can work as long you do not destroy people and cultures
leaving them enough own room (the country) and
when all countries are western democracies.
it worked quite well in europe, befor it
became large and they forced the
euro on us, it was OK,
            but then Merkel….

No doubt Pope Evita has been “misquoted” again by dark mysterious forces.

  • GrimmCreeper

Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.” Uh huh.

  • Dana Garcia

Does catholic doctrine permit the pope’s surrender to islam in the name of the faithful? Just what does he think he is up to?

    • bverwey

I think he should at least try. He should give his papal guards some time of and go alone to make it a true pilgrimage of the soul.

  • Jabberwokk

You know what? I hope they show him the fullness of the mercy of the Koran to him personally.

And the I hope people realize there is no man that you belong too and only one Jesus Christ who was and is and is to come. There’s no pope either btw.

  • Tooth&Claw

There is nothing to mend. Islam is the antithesis of Christianity.

He would do better to reconstitute the Knights Templar and spend some of the loot he’s sitting on to heavily arm them.

  • First of all, Pope Francis didn’t say that the Bible and the Koran were the same, just that the correct reading of the Koran would reject popular misconceptions.

That idea is utter rubbish as even a cursory reading of the Koran would prove it is a warlike text.

Secondly, because this is the New York Times and, therefore, full of sh–, it is better to get the news from these sources which state that he was invited, is now going in April and nothing more:

POPE FRANCES NEVER SAID THE KORAN AND BIBLE ARE THE SAME.

That fake story was busted two years ago.

Why is it that otherwise intelligent people fall hook, line, and sinker for fake news when it comes to the pope?

There is a retired teacher near me and one day they told me about their rental Unit in the house having a saudi muslim man about to move in.
I questioned this because a Sunni whahhabi saudi male would not rent from a single women that’s not muslims and that lives in the house.
They assured me he was a muslims and than said that the Bible and Quran are the same .
Well, if so …..why did muhammad need to write the quran if it’s just a copy of the Torah and New Testament ?
Liberals and leftist in canada are beyond stupid and will be among the first ones beheaded under sharia.
