Chelsea Clinton Writing ‘She Persisted’ Children’s Book, Fueling More Speculation on Political Run
Chelsea Clinton has been speaking out recently via her colossal presence on social media, stating her mind on everything from the vile sexist attacks against Kellyanne Conway to the Women’s March, and wading into political topics like Trump’s deregulation of Wall Street and religious extremism. All of this fuels speculation that she’s gearing up to run for political office.
Her latest foray is a children’s book titled She Persisted. The book will contain a list of “13 American women who changed the world,” and a cameo by an anonymous female figure. (I don’t know: You think it could be her mom? Wild guess.)
The Bible Fails ‘Inclusive Language’ Standards At Evangelical College
Professors at 6,000-student Bethel University should “avoid using masculine terms to refer to people who may be either male or female.”
They should “employ inclusive language and images when speaking about or addressing human beings in academic work, public discourse, classroom discussion, college documents and publications and in worship experiences.”
“Use a substitute for words like ‘man’ or ‘mankind’” when making general references to people, the guide says. “English is sometimes awkward” but “words like ‘humans,’ ‘humanity,’ ‘beings,’ ‘people” and ‘all’ are often adequate substitutes.”
Hawaii: Muslim Brotherhood-backed imam dictating US refugee policy
The main plaintiff in the Hawaii case blocking President Trump’s revised temporary travel ban is an imam with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The irony is hard to miss: Trump has talked about declaring the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, and now it is a Brotherhood-backed imam who is playing a key role in blocking his executive order on immigration.
Imam Ismail Elshikh, 39, leads the largest mosque in Hawaii and claims he is suffering “irreparable harm” from the president’s executive order, which places a 90-day ban on travel to the U.S. from six countries.
Voice Recognition Technology To Detect Origin Of Refugees In Germany
Last year, Germany witnessed a drop in the number of refugees to 280,000 from 890,000 in 2015. But, the backlog of the asylum applicants is still 430,000 and that is why the authorities are seeking external help in the form of voice recognition policy. Banking and Insurance industries have been using voice recignition based softwares to identify refugees. The software analyzes the dialect of refugees on the basis of registered speech samples. It will help the authorities to find out of the refugee is coming from a war affected region and truly needs shelter.
Government urged to “regularize” all illegal refugees
Following a deadly shooting of six Muslim worshippers at a Quebec City mosque in late January, Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), a registered Canadian charity which acts as an umbrella organization for immigrant and refugee-serving agencies in Ontario, issued a statement calling on the federal government to speak out against Islamophobia and racism.
OCASI urged Canadian leaders to speak out against hate and to swiftly ensure that Muslims are safe everywhere in Canada. It also called on the government to demonstrate its commitment to refugees by increasing Canada’s refugee resettlement targets which the government set at 40,000 in 2017.

Newly arrived immigrants are to get jobs in the country’s prisons, the government has decided. Hundreds of internships are being arranged right now, the government writes on its website.
During Thursday, the Minister for Justice and Migration, Morgan Johansson, visited the Mariefred Institution and met four immigrants who work there. One of them works in the kitchen, one is a cleaning staffer and two are practicing as prison officers.
Venezuela has a bread shortage. The government has decided bakers are the problem.
Facing a bread shortage that is spawning massive lines and souring the national mood, the Venezuelan government is responding this week by detaining bakers and seizing establishments.
In a press release, the National Superintendent for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights said it had charged four people and temporarily seized two bakeries as the socialist administration accused bakers of being part of a broad “economic war” aimed at destabilizing the country.
Language Police At Fancypants College Deem The Word ‘Homosexual’ Offensive Now
“Use gay or lesbian when describing people who are attracted to members of the same sex,” school officials instruct in the guide. “Avoid the use of homosexual and homosexual relationship.”
The guide does not appear to provide any reason for this rule in its 1,440-word “inclusive language” guide.
