Missile worth $3 million used to shoot down $200 dollar drone

A US military missile worth millions was used to shoot down a $200 drone from Amazon, a US general has revealed.

Patriot missiles, worth around $3million (£2.4m), are usually used to destroy targets travelling faster than the speed of sound, so made light work of destroying the cheap drone.

The missile, which uses a radar to find and track targets, was used by an ally of the US Army on an enemy, Gen David Perkins has revealed.
