Air Canada denies U.S. security chief’s assertion that its jets have been focus of any terror plots

U.S. Homeland Secretary John Kelly says there have been countless attempts by terrorists to blow up passenger jets operated by Air Canada and U.S. airlines – plots that have been stopped because of U.S. and Canadian intelligence agencies.

This has been clarified by a Kelly spokesperson – he didn’t intend to identify Air Canada specifically but was referring to Canadian air carriers as a group.

Makes you wonder is the government officers employed to ‘do security’ at airports are paid at the Theatrical Employees rates and join the Canadian Actors Equity (http://www.caea.com). After all, they often put on a good show in their daily ‘Security Theatre Show’, but it really is just a performance.
