Muslim prayers during class time draws fire at Toronto school

A Toronto school that allows Muslim students to conduct prayer sessions during class hours on school property is pushing up against the boundaries set by the courts more than 20 years ago to keep religious instruction out of public classrooms.

“I think this looks like a school practicing religion,” said Ed Morgan, a professor of constitutional law at the University of Toronto. “The school may be conveying a message that they endorse religion and that’s what the school is not allowed to do.”

I take it awful foot odour is halal. I’m sure the school custodians love cleaning up the mosque school cafeteria carpets. *sigh*

Yes, but these guys are muslim, and they are special so they can do whatever they want. Besides, they’ll behead you if you piss them off, so best leave them alone.

What are you prepared to do? Nothing you wimps.

That’s Islamophobic, we must respect our new state religion! I wonder if the girls still have to leave the prayer room if they are on their periods?

If there is not supposed to be prayer in school then there is to be NO prayer. I think they just love pushing their agenda and watching us accommodate them. We are push overs. There needs to be a lawsuit over this.

Where are all the atheists that in past years ranted about any Christian prayers or holidays in schools? I forgot, leftists are cowards.

    • Interesting that you should mention Bobby Jindal.

His parents are Hindus from India but Bobby Jindal was born in the US. He changed his name from Piyush (a Hindu name meaning “milk”) to Bobby and then converted to Catholicism.

He has been attacked by those on the left for not being Indian enough. He was called Piyush not because that was originally his name but as pejorative.

He is an example of a first generation American from Indian parents who made decisions to truly be American.

Not good enough for the racists on the left who need to put everyone in a peg-hole in order to understand the world.

This natpost article is a joke.
It manages to completely avoid the cast of real players involved, starting with “local mpp” GLLKDW at the top of the pile.

Organized and public religious prayer does not belong in school You want to do that, go to your place of worship.

Well, as long as they start holding public stonings, hangings and amputations, I’m ok with it.

  • Remember – Christmas carols like “Silent Night” and Nativity scenes are injurious to the academic community.

Having taught school in a Muslim country where 99% of my students were Muslim ranging in age from 16 to 20, and where there were no prayer breaks nor were they demanded even during ramada, this is just the typical “fuck you” to the non Muslim country and its citizens that took them in.

Sort of like taking the Canadian Citizenship Oath while wearing a Mask.

I still say that Justin would not have won a ‘majority’ if Mulcair had any Balls.
