College hosts ‘nap-ins’ to guide students on ‘journey to diversity’

Southern Illinois University will soon host a month-long series of “nap-ins” to help guide students on their “internal journey to diversity.”

There will be four two-hour nap sessions offered, after which students will be able to share their dreams on a fabric scroll intended as “a metaphor for the general path to diversity.”

OK, they just crossed some sort of line there. What’s the next level up from batshit crazy?

It’s the opposite direction to “Turtles, turtles, all the way down”, but similar infinite progression: “Batshit crazy, batshit crazy, all the way up.”

The students in my classes have been doing this for years!

    • Watchman

Come to think of it, I was already doing that in my university days myself, especially first lecture in a day.

We had nap ins when we were writing six or seven exams in five days.
If you engage me with note taking or problem solving in class I am not going anywhere.

“We invite you students to sleep while your culture is taken over by migrants. It’s our way of preparing you for the real world after university, where you will be competing for jobs with migrants who studied instead of dozing.”

It’s true, I don’t mind diversity as much when I’m asleep and unconscious, except for the nightmares.

    • Will Quest

Ahhhh those vision-quests …….. a diverse spirituality for the soulless …..

They call it a college but clearly it is a day-care centre.

Four and five year old children are not allowed to nap in Kindergarten class, but these idiots take it as a point of pride. It’s a funny old world.

  • No, those are just cat naps.

    Let’s be honest.

  • Bla Bla

    It’s a bloody kindergarten… Yay kidults!

  • Norman_In_New_York

And students go into years-long debt for this.

    • DavidinNorthBurnaby

And wonder why their degrees are worth bumwipe in the job market.

i’d show my diversity by not showing up, i’d probably be better educated as well.

Don’t use the “siesta” word. That would be cultural appropriation.

I foresee a future where all ages will go about in diapers because toilet training children is deemed too traumatic and oppressive to them.
