Trudeau’s Liberals see sharp drop in poll numbers, CBC reports

The honeymoon appears to be over for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal party.

CBC’s poll analyst Éric Grenier reports the Liberals plummeted 6.8 points in the polls over the past three months, bringing them down to their lowest levels of support since the 2015 federal election. This drop has instantly boosted the Conservatives and the New Democrats, who are still trying to find their feet as each party searches for a new leader following crushing election losses.

Impossible to keep a straight face in stating that the NDP are still trying to find their feet, when the NDP is a carbon copy of the Liberals only a bit more shrill.

    • JPfromtheeast

      And a LOT more regressive!

      • Alain

That used to be so, but I don’t find much difference anymore, only that the NDP are more upfront about it and lack the experience of hiding their true agenda that the Liberals have perfected. For myself one is as bad as the other, and far too often our so-called Conservatives aren’t much better.

        • Etobicoke_Gladiator

Hear, hear! Our Conservatives are often no different than Libs who are often no different than NDP. *sigh*

      Liberal Uber Alles!

If the Commie Bastard Channel is admitting the Libs are down, then they’re REALLY down!

  • k1962

Good news. May their support continue dropping.

    • Gary

I was just think that if the CBC says it’s a sharp drop it must be a huge drop.
Justin promised the CBC another $125 million per years in funding if became the PM .

  • ontario john

Its a good thing that according to the media, everyone in Canada loves little Justin. Why even magazines around the world say he is the sexiest politician on the planet. He is so cool and wonderful.

  • Sunshine

Not enough. They have to hit 25% and under.

    • Alain

The thing is we’ll never know, since we know polls are far from accurate. It depends on how questions are worded and the people polled. According to the polls up until now all Canadians loved Trudeau, and yet I haven’t run across anyone like that. Perhaps I just run in the wrong circles.

      • Sunshine

I know. It’s probably a CBC Liberal-sponsored poll. No indication who conducted the poll, the poll methodology isn’t available.
Which all means situation is worse than reported.
        God Bless Donald Trump.

    Sinking like the Canadian dollar.

Declining at the same speed the national debt is climbing.

yahoo – for some reason I find their product extremely uninteresting.

  • Tooth&Claw

Good. May the liberal party lose their arse. Something has to give and Canadian taxpayers are getting very close to breaking.

    • Alain

On the topic of taxes, few Canadians are aware of how much they are taxed, because we pay a lot more than just income tax in taxes and some taxes are hidden. Perhaps if they knew the extent it might may a difference in how they vote, but again that is a big IF.

      • Tooth&Claw

The church only asks 10% in tithing. With all taxes and levies combined it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if our effective tax rate was near 60%. If the Feds had their way they’d tax you 100% and then bribe you with your own money.

  • If the CBC is reporting it, it must be true.

    No, really.

How many times has the CBC fawned over Hair-Boy and released skewed polls saying how much everyone loved him?

It’s rather like the Titanic. First, it was a scrape. Then it was a hole. Then it’s everyone to the lifeboats.

I think we are at the hole stage.

    • A Hamilton Guy

But there are still a lot of dummies out there. If there are any dummies out there reading this: do not bother chucking crap at me, I do not hurt easily, and I do not give a shit

      • I think now the CBC is scared and not even they can console the dummies.

      • Tooth&Claw

I had this discussion with someone today. She was mentioning how obvious some phone messages have to be for people. as she had to listen to a long winded message.
I mentioned that 25% of the population is at least as dumb as rocks and need all details spelled out as they don’t have the common sense or deductive reasoning power to figure things out.

      • deplorabledave

I don’t think you will find any of the dummies you speak of here.

    • lolwut? (Deplorable Hoser)

There is still the issue of the CBC’s plummeting ad revenues and their cries for $400 Million more to cover it.

      Positive coverage doesn’t come cheap.

      • Well, squeeze a little more blood from stones. That does the trick according to Liberals.

  • deplorabledave

I am sure if they bring in another 40,000 Muslim Syrian refugees that should turn things around and have the CBC show their popularity has improved!
