In Latest Intel Mutiny Against Trump, DHS Analysts Say White House Travel Ban Is Wrong

Overnight, analysts at DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis found “insufficient evidence” that citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries included in President Donald Trump’s travel ban pose a terror threat to the United States. According to a draft document obtained by The Associated Press, citizenship is an “unlikely indicator” of terrorism threats to the United States and that few people from the countries Trump listed in his travel ban have carried out attacks or been involved in terrorism-related activities in the U.S. since Syria’s civil war started in 2011. The DHS report said its staff “assesses that country of citizenship is unlikely to be a reliable indicator of potential terrorist activity.”

Fortunately it is the decision of the POTUS that determines this, not some nameless, faceless, DHS SJW warrior bureaucrat.

“The DHS report said its staff ‘assesses that country of citizenship is unlikely to be a reliable indicator of potential terrorist activity.’”

If only there was a single common factor that links all Islamic terrorism… Just one common factor that links all this jihadist militancy… Just one cause that links the deadly attacks on non-muslims…

DHS seems to be still desperately searching for this one common factor. ‘Poverty’ is their best suspect at the moment.

      Global warming, dude.

“According to a draft document …”
It’s not a report, and someone turned it loose on the press to kill it. And to remove the persons who may have been pushing the idea.

    Cheers

We must all agree that the inability to obtain a decent visa security check for an individual applicant that is worth the paper it is printed on back in Shitistan is also not a valid reason to impede the USA travel plans of peaceful muslims.
    Yeah, right.

Why didn’t they tell the Obama administration that, back when they singled out those seven nations?

  • The truth is that ALL Muslim-majority countries should be included in the ban, and that permanently on principle. It does not matter how many or few of their citizens are terrorists – one terrorist murdering or raping or robbing just one US citizen damns the whole lot of them, because the motivation for such acts is not individual but a product of Islamic teaching and culture.

“…the motivation for such acts is not individual but a product of Islamic teaching and culture.”

      Good point.
