Mexico’s foreign minister rejects Trump deportation policy

Translation – we don’t need no stinkin laws!

Mexico has condemned new guidelines issued by the United States, under which almost all illegal immigrants can be subject to deportation.

The new rules include sending undocumented people to Mexico, even if they are not Mexicans.

But Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray says his country cannot “accept unilateral decisions imposed by one government on another.”

Two top US officials are in Mexico to discuss the measures.

Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, and the head of Homeland Security, John Kelly, will hold talks with President Enrique Pena Nieto, amid one of the most serious rifts between the two neighbours in recent years.

I doubt Trump gives a damn what Mexico thinks on the issue and rightly so.

We’re simply improving our return policy.

. . .cannot “accept unilateral decisions imposed by one government on another.”

Tough shit Luis. The US cannot “accept unilateral decisions imposed by illegal immigrants. . . .” anymore.

Who the hell cares what the Mexicans think. I don’t!! Well, Trudeau does. He has lifted visa requirements so illegal immigrants can get here easily. And he has announced that he will stand by Mexico in trade talks. Yes, Canadian jobs mean nothing, as long as we stand by Mexico. Its the Liberal thing to do.

    • I think we should just switch countries — trade Canada for Mexico and vice-versa. The Mexicans can have this freezing place with a single short growing season at best, or no growing season at all. And we can take Mexico — with at least two growing seasons annually, year-round beaches, and all the other goodies of the tropics.

It will also work out great demographically — Mexico has 4X times the population of Canada and is running out of room, and Canada switching with Mexico will take care of their overpopulation problem.

And mangos, you’d get mangos, avocados too.

I am all for it, but we should leave Quebec behind for the Mexicans.

        • Should be an interesting tug of war over language rights…

You forget that the the closer you get to the equator the more prevalent parasites become.
Sure, I hate winter but I hate bugs more.
At least in Canada you have a better balance between the two.

That all depends. I recall when living and working in Senegal I was never bothered by swarms of mosquitoes like in Canada. Yes, there were dangerous snakes and scorpions but with a bit of common sense and caution they weren’t a problem. Also there were no black flies or noseeums, hornets or yellow jackets. My pet mongoose dealt with snakes, scorpions along with cat-sized rats called Gambian rats there.

Open borders to the US have been a sweet deal for Mexico City. They push their poor and indian population north and get back big money in remittances — over $20 billion last year.

    Screw them.

Furthermore, despite its constant poor-mouthing, Mexico is a wealthy nation, ranking #15 in world GDP, and can well afford to be more responsive to its own citizens.

Mexico is also guilty of allowing in a multitude of foreigners seeking to enter illegally the United States. I know that Mexico has strict border controls no matter how you enter as a non Mexican, so they are doing this on purpose. For that reason alone all illegal non Mexicans who entered via Mexico should be dumped back into Mexico.

Sounds like BBC b.s. exaggerating the “foreigners” line. I’d bet that the deporting foreigners to Mexico means non-Mexicans intercepted at the border (such as a Somali crossing there) or South Americans coming through Mexico. You know, the South Americans that the Mexicans will not allow into the country as refugees, immigrants or workers but will allow (for a small fee) to get to the U.S. border to cross there illegally.

      More fake news.

    Dear Mexico,
Stop allowing your country to be a conduit of drugs and humans to America.
You are reaping what you have sewn.
    Now go to Hell Mexico.
We have had our eyes opened to your perfidy and we hate it.

“The new rules include sending undocumented people to Mexico, even if they are not Mexicans.”

I didn’t think it was possible to win this much.
