Paris Tourism Falls 1.5 Million in 2016 after Terror Fears

Paris: Come for the romance of the nightly riots!

Paris and the surrounding region lost 1.5 million tourists on 2016 as visitors, especially from the Far East, stay away due to ongoing terror fears.

According to the Comité Regional du Tourisme, the Paris Ile-de-France region also lost 1.3 billion euros in tourist income, while the number of nights spent by foreign visitors in the region’s
hotels also fell by 10.8 per cent.

Some sights in particular “have suffered deeply from the lack of tourists and cancellations by school groups”, the committee says, including the Arc de triomphe which saw a 24 per cent drop in visitors.

    Fewer tourists means more vibrancy.

The real test of the decline of Paris is when the (often extremely annoying) Chinese tourists waving their selfie sticks stop going to the shithole of shitholes formerly known as Paris. Oh, wait a second, I think the Chinese are already not traveling there as frequently.

      Good.

      Diversity is our vibrancy!
You know, you could put that one a sign and just march through the middle of a howling pack of AntiFa leftists and they would even bother you.
It would be as if you were wearing a Klingon cloaking device.

I say this repeatedly here at BCF: France is a shithole, and Paris is a shithole of shitholes. As for romance? Skip Paris if don’t wish to jeopardize your marriage and/or relationship with your significant other. Like I said, it’s a shithole,

    • Sounds grand!

Ah Paris! The City of Blights. 🙂

It’s amazing anyone pays money to go to Paris.

I always wanted to visit the Louvre, but I’m sure being prepared in the Second Amendment style would not be permitted.

I wonder how many years it’ll be before the ageless works of art which have inspired Western Civilization for generations will be deemed offensive to Muslims? Eventually the artwork will have to be air lifted to some safe region or country to prevent a pickaxe welding mob from smashing and burning them.

      • Starlord

Say we fast forwarded that to now. Politicians would be falling over themselves to have the first swing of the pickaxe all the while singing diversity is our strength.

        • LairdKintyre

It wouldn’t be the first time a pickaxe was swung in that venerable museum the Louvre. A muslim had that distinction a few weeks ago.

      • Dana Garcia

In WWII, museum conservators packed up their treasures to protect them from the Nazis. Hopefully they would do the same again.

      • John Boy

I don’t think it will be long before they start burning books and artwork they find offensive.

Give it time. At least half of the tourists this year will go home disappointed at the Hell hole France is turning into and they’ll tell their friends and so on. Some will go back home with outright horror stories. In a couple years Paris will be as much as a tourist Hotspot as Mosul or Mogadishu or Tehran.

    • They used to call Beirut the Paris of the Mediterranean. Soon they’ll call Paris the Beirut of Europe.

That was back in the day when Lebanon was a christian country; prior to vile, obscene, disgusting, sub-human way the pigslimes butchered, slaughtered, and maimed the Christians. so many left; there still are some. But the pigslimes rule

The time to tour Europe and see the grand legacy of Western Enlightenment was 25 years ago. That time is past and they invited it on themselves by creating a socialist cradle to grave state. Thus impoverishing European couples and thereby making having children impractical with high taxation. Then they invited in the third world.

Under the Roman Empire, people traveled the known world in safety. The emergence of Islamic raiders ended that free movement and that is why the mobile society built by Rome collapsed into the Dark Ages where people never went anywhere beyond their local fiefdom. Behold Islam is yet again taking us into a renewed Dark Age by attacking non-Islamic travel and tourism, and any female not accompanied by a male guardian.

They used to say that about the British Empire. A Briton could travel over the entire world in complete safety. Now it isn’t even safe to walk the streets of London or Manchester.

paris was pretty marginal 20 years ago, there was dog shit every where the restaurant service was rude and ./or slow and the hotels were dingey and run down. I enjoyed France, with many visits,as long as I stayed the hell out of paris

  • Maggat

Humph, just less people to step in the dog shit on the side walks.
