President of Finland: Putin Not So Bad, NATO Lame, Greatest Threats To Europe Are Terrorism And Migration

The President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö made it clear to CNBC last week that while Russia’s actions involving Crimea must come to a peaceful resolution, the most important issues facing Europe right now are terrorism and migration. Despite Finland pledging $55 Million Euros to NATO, Niinistö also made it clear that European nations need to ultimately be responsible for their own security.

    A friend was teaching in Helsinki 10 years ago and she tells me that economic migrants were a serious crime/safety issue before then and ever since – absolutely nothing has been done about it though.

      In a truly bizarre abuse of their laws, one of the largest group of so called economic refugees to Sweden are the Finns, who are allowed in when life in Finland gets too rough for them. There are 30-90,000 Finnish ‘migrants’ in Sweden over and above the 475,000 Swedish-Finns who’ve been there for a longer time.
