Trump declares traditional media enemies of the people?

From Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge:

The media – which according to the president is now America’s enemy – had reactions, ranging from the shocked, to the defensive, to the conciliatory, to the bemused. More.

Tweets follow.

Reality check:  Of course, it’s true. The traditional media are, today, masterless men, as they put it in the Middle Ages. They need progressive government to become Orwell’s Outer Party again.

By all means, be critical of Trump. But do not believe a word of what these soon-to-be hats in the taxpayers’ street say. Unless you have an emotional need for their brand of fake news.

What can we do about fake news that would not diminish real news? Critics of ‘fake news’ should go to China — only the government has the right to post fake news.

    So?
That’s like saying the WW2 Japanese naval high command had mixed reactions after they lost their remaining fleet at the battle of Leyte gulf.

Who gives a damn what their reactions were?

I don’t give a shit if they are happy, sad, mad or plaid just so long as they are losing the battle.

    • The Media chose sides long ago, they no longer reflect America or Canada for that matter, they push left wing ideology, that is their mission nowadays.

“Just think of them as Democratic Party operatives with bylines and it all makes sense,” as Instapundit and guests are wont to say.

I’ll just add that they’re Democratic Party operatives with sore knees who spent the previous 8 years fellating Obama.

It’s also their FAKE NEWS that is the enemy; if they stopped the FAKE NEWS trying to organize a coup d’etat against Trump (that they believe would see Crooked Hillary become president and not Pence or, ugh, Ryan), then they’d not be enemies of the public.

  • William Tecumseh Sherman was right:

    “I hate
newspapermen. They come into camp and pick up their camp
rumors and print them as facts. I regard them as spies, which,
in truth, they are. If I killed them all there would be news
    from Hell before breakfast.”
