84 year old mother gives up Bay credit to appease Trump-deranged Daughter

“I’ve been telling everyone I know not to shop there,” says Dexter about her chosen target, the Bay.

She’s even convinced her 84-year-old mother to stop shopping there, even though her mom has a $60 credit for the store.

“She said, ‘Damn it, now I can’t use that?'”

I said, ‘Sorry, you can’t.'”

Interestingly for the CBC many comments are not supportive of this vindictive woman’s boycott.

Good, these idiots can stay at home and feel self righteous all day.

Let me guess… She’s not married and owns at least one cat…??? 😉

    • LairdKintyre

      Possibly married to another woman

Judging by the looks of Ms Dexter, I’d say over educated ultra liberal unmarried with too much time on her hands. Am I right Ms Dexter. My sympathies to your aged mother. How I pity her, left to your tender mercies.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      She’s probably on ‘disability’.

  • LairdKintyre

Heartening to SEE CBC comments section. Most oppose her.

  • richfisher

The Bay made $60 and never hears from her again. 🙂

  • bargogx1

Well, guess I’ll be increasing my spending at The Bay.

I’m surprised no one has picked up on the fact that this woman is clearly bullying her elderly mother. Elder abuse is a serious issue, I think a little public shaming might be in order.

    • Frances

Totally agree. Have been the “person on call” for elderly relatives and was careful to respect their wishes. Mind you, I can’t see my elderly relatives as being so acquiescent should I have been that bullying.

Everything within the state, nothing without the state.

Sears dropping trump just shows how dumb they are. They’re bordering on insolvency and they insult their customers? No leftist is shopping there anyway. Why insult your own customers?

    • Watchman

Shameless virtue signalling in this attempt to remain solvent. But you knew that.

I haven’t been to Sears in 10 years. Last visit, I was annoyed by pushy appliance salesmen in ill fitting suits and an army of surly cashiers that looked like Ms Dexter scowling at me at every turn. This new “alienating customers” marketing strategy will surely help them though.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

I went to Sears for the first time in five years this past Christmas.
What a pathetic shell of a company.

I have only ever bought one thing at the Bay. I bought a beautiful HBC points blanket. Well worth the money. They gave me a 25 percent discount if I got a Bay charge card when I bought it, so I did. It came in the mail, I cut it up and threw it out and after about six months they got tired of sending me monthly statements and gave up.

The HBC is older than Canada. At some time in the late 1700’s (maybe) they took over their rival the North West Company. About 20 years ago HBC decided they were going to be a down town department store and they were going to get out of the trading post business. Their employees bought the trading posts off them and recreated the North West Company. The NWC now owns all the grocery and retail business in the far north of Canada and has expanded into the south Pacific and Caribbean. This makes sense, since the core competency of the business is getting relatively small quantities of goods to really remote locations.

The North west Company has a market Capitalization of about 1.5 billion, which is likely way more than the modern HBC is worth. I have been a share holder for going on a decade, and it has been a very good investment. Benjamin Frobisher, who founded the original company in 1770 would be quite pleased at this turn of events.

  • How many people boycott Chinese-made goods or Joe Fresh or companies that support Planned Parenthood?

It seems to me that if one were to boycott for moral reason, they should be actual moral reason, not “I don’t like your dad”.

  • BillyHW

Fuck you old lady for raising such a brat.

  • Linda1000

Ha, ha, ha …. Ivanka Trump’s brand of perfume becomes best seller on Amazon, beating out pop stars and other designer brands.

Years ago I started boycotting HBC after I bought a washing machine from them. They promised that the delivery men would take it downstairs to the basement, but when they showed up the delivery men refused, and I had to hire two more guys to do it. So I stopped shopping at the Bay. Then Sears and every other department store within TTC distance started shutting down, so after 10 years I went back to the Bay. I figured they’d been punished enough:)

  • LairdKintyre

Nice Ms Dexter. Very nice. I mean, maybe that poor old mother of yours has grandchildren from one of your siblings that she wanted to buy a gift for. I know without being told you have no children based on your attitude.

  • Canadian Born

One has to only open their eyes and see that this misfit, is nothing more than jealous. Why the hell doesn’t this woman move to a third world country, because that is exactly where she belongs.

  • Editor

The woman oozes bitterness in the picture. It’s just The Bay’s turn today.
